Chapter Four

Zayn's Pov

It was hours later when the nurse said it was okay for us to see Liz. Both of the girls were asleep, Maria laying in my arms while Hailey was in Niall's. Niall was asleep too, so I decided to wake him up before the girls."Hey, Niall." I said as I reached over and shook him gently. He slightly jumped when he awoke, so I chuckled softly. He laughed himself once he realized what he just did then blushed once he saw that him and Hailey were curled up together.

"The nurse said we are able to see Liz now, so we should probably wake up the girls." I informed Niall. He nodded the softly shook Hailey speaking softly to her so I did the same with Maria. "Maria, love, wake up." i shook her once more than mumbled something. "Zayn ... gorgeous .. love you" was all I heard. I smirked then shook her again. She sat up this time and sat up glaring at me. "How dare you wake me up."

I smiled and stifled a chuckle, " I know, but what was the "Zayn.. gorgeous.. love you" thing about?" I cocked an eyebrow at her and watched as her face turned a bright shade of red. I stifled another chuckle then looked over to see that Hailey was awake now. "Well, we are able to go in and see Liz now,"Niall said as he stood up and looked down at the three of us.

We walked into the room and saw that Liz was completely bandaged up. Her parents were sitting in the corner crying as they continue looking up at her. Hailey and Maria went and hugged them then chatted about something. Hailey and Maria came back to us looking even more upset and Maria even started to tear up. I gave her a hug and mumbled " What happened" in her ear. She took my hand and walked me out into the hall.

"Liz might not make it.. Something was injected into her bloodstream during the attack, and it could possibly kill her. The doctors tried to get out as much as possible, but there was too much. They are currently trying to pump something through her to get the rest out, but it's a 24% chance she'll survive through all of it." I gave her a hug, a tighter one this time, and repeatedly said "I'm sorry" and "she'll make it through, she has too" as well as a few "Don't worry" 's. We walked back into the room and spoke to Liz since she was still able to speak clear enough for us, though her voice was faint and a little shaky. The rest of the group (Liam, Louis, Harry, Effy, Isabella, Toni, and Abbie) showed up and spoke with her also.

"Okay, visiting time is over." The nurse said as she began to shove people out towards the lobby, "It'd probably be best for everyone to go home unless you are family."
We all piled out to the parking lot then tried to decide who was going where and who was riding with who. "Who wants to go our flat?" Harry asked. I looked over to Maria and mouthed, "Come with me to the flat?" she responded by nodding her head yes. "We do." I said as I wrapped my arm around Maria's shoulder.

Everyone decided to go hang out at the lad's and my flat except for Abbie, who said she had plans to go do something else. Maria and I rode in a car with Hailey and Niall, so Maria could talk with her about Liz.
