Chapter Seven

Maria's POV

I dragged Zayn into a bedroom and closed the door behind us. "Uhh.." Zayn started as he stood in the middle of the room confused. "I have something I need to say and if I don't say it now, I don't think I'll ever have enough courage again." I inhaled and exhaled deeply then looked at Zayn in the eyes.
"What is it?" He asked, seemingly worried. "Zayn, I like you. A lot. And I don't think I'm going to be able to survive without you whenever you leave on tour." Zayn stood there not saying a word and I could tell he was deep in thought. "Zayn?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows. "Maria, I feel the same way. Niall and I actually came over to your place today to discuss with you guys about going on tour.. Come on, let's go out there so Niall and I can tell you our plan."

Zayn grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. We walked back to the living room and sat beside Niall and Hailey. "Okay, Niall, I think it's time," Zayn spoke which resulted in a smile from Niall. Hailey looked at me sincerely confused so I shrugged, signifying I didn't know what was going on either. "Okay, so you two know how Hailey helped us out with the album?" Niall cocked an eyebrow. Hailey and I nodded. "Okay, so management was very grateful.. so grateful that when Zayn and I asked, they allowed us to bring you with on tour!" My jaw dropped. "So what do you guys say?" Zayn asked, squeezing my hand gently.

"HELL YES!" I yelled a little too enthusiastically. Hailey giggled and nodded, "We would love too!" Zayn looked to me and hugged me. As we hugged, he whispered in my ear, "Now we won't have to be apart." He kissed right below my earlobe then pulled away. "We are leaving in two weeks, so you guys might want to start packing. We will be gone for a couple of months." Zayn announced as he slowly snaked his arm around my waist. I blushed brightly, "We will start immediately, but first, let's go out and do something fun to celebrate our last few days in this town!" I stood up, bringing Zayn with me, then grabbed Niall's hand to pull him off the couch as well as Hailey. "What are we going to do?" Hailey asked. "I have something in mind," I said smirking.

We all piled into my car, and I started driving to our destination. "Are you going to give us a hint on where we're going? " Hailey asked in which I only shook my head. We eventually arrived to the place and i watched as Hailey's eyes widen through the rear view mirror. "Come on! Let's go in!" We had arrived at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. I dragged Zayn and Hailey towards the entrance and we payed for our tickets. "I love this place!" Hailey smiled widely.

Hailey's POV

I hated this place, but only for one reason: The Ferris Wheel. I am afraid of heights and every time Maria and I come here, I always have to make up an excuse for not going on the Ferris Wheel. I know it's silly and I should just tell her about my fear, but I just couldn't. I walked down the boardwalk with my friends, glancing at all of the little stands of food and games. "So what do you guys want to do first?" I asked, praying to god they wouldn't say the Ferris Wheel. "Well, we can try out some of the games first?" Zayn suggested. I was relieved, " Yeah! Come on Niall." I dragged Niall with me to one of the stands and payed for a game. Of course, i ended up sucking and had to move on without a prize.

Eventually we were tired of playing the games after Maria and Zayn kept winning while Niall and I kept losing, so Niall and I went and sat at a table while Zayn and Maria ran back to the car to put their prizes away. "I'm really excited that you get to experience what being on tour with us is like. It's going to be really fun," Niall remarked to me. I smiled widely," I can't wait! You and the boys are amazing so I bet touring with you guys is going to be awesome. Thank you so much for talking to management about us.." I looked down to the my hands as I fiddled my fingers on the table. "It's no problem at all! Thank you so much for helping me out with those songs though! If it weren't for you I probably wouldn't have the songs finished and we wouldn't be going on tour." Niall placed his hand on mine which caused me to look up at him.

We gazed into each others eyes for a solid moment before Maria and Zayn interrupted. "So what's next?" Maria asked as she walked up to the table, causing mine and Niall's hands to pull apart and rest in our lap. We both looked away from each other and to Maria. "Ferris wheel?" Niall suggested. "Um, I think I'm actually starting to get hungry.. How about you guys go on without me and I'll meet you at the ride's exit later. "No way. We can eat then go on. You are coming with us this time." Maria smiled and walked to a food stand. Shit, now what am I supposed to do? I followed behind Maria got our food then ate. After we finished we were walking to the Ferris Wheel when Niall noticed I was unsettled.

"Everything okay?" He asked as he rubbed the small of my back. "Uh, no not really.." I mumbled, "I'm afraid of heights.." "Really?" He asked, not sure if I was joking or not. "Yeah.." I trailed off as I looked up at the huge Ferris Wheel in front of me. "If you don't want to go on, I can wait out here with you till they get off. Does Maria know of your fear?" I shook my head no. "You should probably tell her, I'm sure she'd understand.." I sighed and nodded once again, "Okay I will." I pulled Maria away from Zayn and told her. She furrowed her eyebrows, "Why didn't you tell me? I would've understood." "I don't know I just didn't want to seem like a wimp or something.." "No it's understandable, you don't have to go on if you don't want too, though." I glanced up and looked at the Ferris Wheel and exhaled deeply. "I think I'm just gonna go. It can't be that bad, right?" "If you say so.." Maria walked back to Zayn and stood in line. Niall and I stood behind them. I looked up at the Farris Wheel again and groaned, "Oh man, I'm going to regret this.."

After the ride I was holding tightly onto Niall. "Never. Again." Everyone laughed at me and I just shook my head. "I will never go on that again." Niall chuckled and rubbed my back. "Don't worry, I won't take you on there again. I almost lost all feeling in my arm." I immediately let go of his arm and blushed brightly, "Oh, yeah, sorry about that." I laughed nervously and continued walking. "Come on guys, let's get some food."

After a long day at the pier, we went back to Maria and my house and hung out on the couch together, watching a movie. After a while, Niall and Zayn both realized it was getting late and decided to leave. I closed the door behind Niall and turned back to Maria. She was smiling wide, so I cocked an eyebrow. "I GET TO GO ON TOUR WITH ONE DIRECTION!! THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE!! IM SO HAPPYYYY!" I giggled and nodded. "We better start packing."
