Chapter 2: Not what i expected

Brittany's POV:

"We're here, god I really didn't miss this place". I think to myself as Claire and I enter the building. Of course when you walk in you start to see all the little cliques get back together. All the jocks are huddled together high fiving each other and checking out girls, usual. The stoner's walking in a group towards behind the gym where they all get high before class. The " most popular girls in school" all walking towards the footballs players, i can practically smell the slut coming off of them. I honestly don't see why they're popular. I mean yea they're pretty but they're all dumb as a rock and sleep with anythings that can walk and talk. Anyways then there's my small group, it's not actually a group it's just me, Claire, and Jasmine. We all like to stay out of drama so it's just us. Technically the '' nerds'' i guess. No one really notices up, we just keep to ourselves.

Don't get me wrong I mean Claire and Jas aren't ugly at all so I don't see why guys don't notice them. But it's just the way it goes. We walk up to jasmine and we all get in a huge group hug screaming. Totally not caring that everyone's looking at us like we have issues. We just dgaf. " I haven't seen you guys all summer!" Jasmine says. " I missed yall goofy asses" .

Just after she said that the tardy bell rings. Great late to class on the first day. I start to freak Knowing as i've never been late to a class in my whole school experience. I start to run to my first period class. As i walk in and everyone looks at me like i'm an alien. " Ahhh Ms.Gilbert's late on the first day? Great way to make a first impression" she said sarcastically. " Sorry Mrs. Rodgers, It won't happen again" i said in the softest voice i could, feeling my face start to turn red of embarrassment. " take a seat in the back" she ordered me. I did as told. Ignoring all the looks and laughs going and around me. I look up to see Ethan Duval. Not only one of the most popular boys in school but definitely one of the hottest.

I took a seat right next to him. As the teacher says " Oh ms. gilbert, DETENTION, never be late to my class again'' I stand up and yell " DETENTION? YOU CAN'T GIVE ME DETENTION I'M BRITTANY GILBERT I'VE NEVER GOT DETENTION" with tears swelling in my eyes. Then finally noticing, i just yelled at a teacher. i just did that. everyone is looking at me. i'm so damn stupid. The teacher looks astonished. And everyone's jaw is dropped. After my little melt down i slowly sit in my seat and all she says is " Do not raise your voice at me, sit and shut up" I definitely do as told.

That was the longest class of my life. But finally lunch time with my girls. As we get our food i tell them what happened and jasmine yells" Oh my god!!! You savage!!" I roll my eyes annoyed at her and they both just laugh. " I don't know what my parents are gonna do, oh wait yes i do. KILL ME. Detention on the first day of school! Gosh my life is over" I let out a sigh and put my head down. " Cheer up, i'm sure the rest of your day will be better" Claire says. I sure as hell hope so. I look up to see Ethan walking over to our table and i swear my heart was beating 76312678628341876134314 mph!

Ethan's POV:

" Finally lunch" I said standing in the lunch line. " Yo yo Robert" Nate said in kinda of a whispering tone with a smirk on his face. " What" Robert said laughing. " I bet you won't ' accidently' spill milk all over the lunch lady"

Nate says. " 50 bucks?" Robert replies and Nate just shakes his hand. Robert gets in front of me in the line and i just shake my head with a small laugh. He hands the lady at the cashier thing a 20 and walks behind her and just dumps his milk down her back. She screams " OH MY GOSH DEAR LORD WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM" with her face turning blood red. " whoops, slipped" Robert said as he tries to hide his laugh but he has the biggest smile on his face.

We all walk out and sit at our table and Nate hands him a 50 dollar bill. " Pure gold bro, pure gold" Nate says laughing. " I don't care about the help anyways" Robert replies. " Yall are such dicks" I reply. They just laugh. And then " Ethan" Robert says. " yea?" i say. "Remember that girl that yelled at the teacher this morning? Yuuno the cute nerdy one" He says. " Lol how could i forget, she probably thinks she's some type of bad ass now" I add laughing. " Yea well i bet you 100 bucks to won't walk over there and ask her out" He said. I just laughed, " A 100 bucks? of course i will''. "Buttttt you actually have to go on a date with her and work your magic maybe even get in her pants" He says with a smirk. '' Deal" and we shake hands.

I stand up and start to head over to her lunch table, she looks at me as i'm walking. I can already see her freaking out. Like yes i know i'm extremly hot. I get there and I say " Hey, Brittany right?" she nods with a surprised look on her face with her mouth stuffed with pizza.... what am i getting myself into. " okay well uh you wanna go out sometime after school?" i ask.

Brittany's POV:

My pizza drops out my hand. And yes i start to choke. Coughing heavily but talking i say " excuse me!?" And he just looks at me like i'm stupid. " yes or no'' he says. " What the hell of course not."His smirk suddenly fades away. Did i really just turn down Ethan Duval. Am I dreaming?!
