"Come on. It's ten a.m.! You need to wake up now!" I groaned and blinked at the sudden light. "Ten more minutes," I said, trying to settle back into my comfy bed.

"Nope. You will wake up now!" Eve climbed up my bunk, where she sat and shook me. Hard.

"I'm pretty sure you're shaking the whole bed," I muttered.

"Would you rather I dump a bucket of cold water on your head? I could have done that, you know. I have already tried to wake you up twice!"

"Ok, ok. Stop shaking me, I'll get up now." I sat up in the bed, and pushed the covers into a ball in the corner.

"How's that? I'm quite very awake now," I said as I sat up facing her. "Hungry?"

"YES!" She said. She climbed down the bunk first, landing with a thud. I followed her. Good thing the two other girls were already up, or they wouldn't be happy with all the noise we were making. I untied my bun and braided my hair into a French braid while Eve waited at the door, arms crossed.

"While you're taking five thousand years and a day, I'm going to start heading downstairs," Eve said.

"Fine, I'm coming," I sighed. I followed Eve outside our room. Curious, I checked the two other rooms to see if any of the younger girls were sleeping. They were all awake, but out of the four girls in  (there are three rooms with four girls in each.)each room no bed was made. I followed Eve downstairs and into the dining room, where all of the other girls were eating noisily. "There you are! Sleepyheads!" Mrs Callahan said, with a big smile as she headed towards us from the kitchen. She must have heard us while we were making all that noise. Eve giggled and I smiled as she came over and messed up our hair. Ms. Callahan wasn't taller than us- we were all about 5'5.

"Interested in any bacon and eggs today?" She asked.

"Yes, we are so hungry. Thanks for making that today." Ms. Callahan sat down at her place and I followed Eve to ours. Thankfully, there were two seats left next to each other near the end of the table.

"Pass the food," I said to Eve as she helped herself to the eggs and bacon.

"Sure," she said, passing them to me.
We ate. After breakfast, we cleaned up our places along with the other girls and changed into clothes. I wore a blue P!ATD (matching with Eve) shirt with black jeans and minimal makeup, and Eve wore a blue Panic! At the Disco shirt (If you get this reference 😏 @poets_in_pompeii) with white lettering and jeans.

While upstairs, we heard Ms. Callahan ring a bell. This signaled for everyone to come downstairs for an announcement. We followed the rest of the girls downstairs to the living room whet Ms. Callahan was holding the bell. We each found a place on the two couches in the room, me squeezed next to Eve.

"Today we have a man coming to see you girls," Ms. Callahan said. Aw, that ruins the fun thing we were going to do today. Maybe i can still take Eve to the movies later. I still have some chore money left.

"He is looking for two teenage girls. He should be here soon to see you. Make sure you smile, and tell him a bit about yourself. He should be here soon." Right on cue, the doorbell rang. Ms. Callahan smiled and headed toward it, dodging girls and furniture. When she opened the door, we got our first glimpse of him. He was about average hight, with plenty of dark hair. He was wearing  a black suit jacket with a white button-down shirt and black pants.

"He will see each of you one at a time," Ms. Callahan said after coming back from leading the mysterious man to our dining room.

"He will pick two of you today."
