Hours pass by. The man spends about 30 minutes with each girl, to get to know her before he makes a final decision. One by one, the amount of girls in the room decreases until we are the last two.  Eve and I scroll through Tumblr and listen to music while we wait for our turn.
"Okay. Abree, Eve, it's your turn," Ms.Callahan says with a sigh. I finally get to meet a possible father. Maybe Eve and I will get a chance at a normal life. Eve follows me as I walk to the dining room, where the man waits, alone. We sit opposite of the man.
"Hello," he says, taking off his glasses and setting them on the table as Ms. Callahan leaves. My draw drops. Is he.. Brendon Urie? The panic! At the disco? Eve must have been thinking the same thing, because her jaw drops along with mine.
"I'm Brendon Urie. What's your names?" He asks after a laugh at our dumbstruck expressions. What in the actual heck is he doing here? Isn't he supposed to be, like, in LA?
"I-I'm Abree," I stutter, still surprised. "That's E-" "We're huge fans. Like, we LOVE P!ATD!" She says before I can finish. Oh, we're fangirling. In front of him. Why couldn't have this been a little less embarrassing?
"Oh, yes I can tell. I love your shirt." He smiles and motions toward our blue P!ATD shirts.

"Could you sign my shirt?" Eve asks. "Me too," I ask. "Of course," he says and picks a sharpie up from the table. To think that Brendon Urie, of all people, may adopt us, is just exhilarating. I don't know if he will, but that would be so amazing. I would be forever thankful. Brendon finished signing our shirts, and we sat back down. Eve starts a rapid fire question assault. "What are the tour dates? Are you even going to hire any more band members? Like ever? What was it like recording songs with fall out boy? Was it amazing? I bet it was amazing. Oh. And. " She paused to take a breath. "IsRydenfreakingreeeeeeeeeal?!!!"

"Woah, there. The tour dates are going to be up soon. And, maybe, if I find the right people. It was pretty cool, actually. And, to the last one, I can't say," he said with a wink. As I listened to him and as Eve and I told him about ourselves, I stared at his beautiful chocolate-brown eyes and tried to memorize every part of him just in case we never saw him in person again. His thick eyebrows, chiseled cheekbones and tall forehead. Compared to him, I was so plain. Same regular blue eyes and pale skin. My hair wasn't even pretty. Just dark and long and lank. While I memorized everything, time seemed to pass as fast as a rocket, because my train of thought was interrupted by Ms. Callahan coming inside and telling it was time for us to go and him to make his decision. Disappointed, we left after saying bye.

"Abree, Eve!" I heard Ms. Callahan calling our names. "Okay, okay. We're coming." I sighed and paused the Bastille song I was listening to. Is Dan going to ever fill that hole in his soul? If he's not, I bet I can, I thought with a smirk. I followed Eve downstairs to where Brendon and Ms. Callahan were waiting.

"Brendon is adopting the two of you!"
