Tav

The weight was cold and strung tightly around my wrists, bounding them together. It seemed to increase the pull of my pulse, as it thudded rapidly against the metal.

A subtle distraction to the pounding in my head, it felt as the back of my head was caked in blood. Sensitive from being rested on and the soiled bandages that were irritating it. I fear what I will wake to, an axe at my throat and a list of charges? The Inquisition had found Arathas and I, locked up in those cells.. The red lyrium.. Is burned into my skin? I struggled to open my eyes, it was as they also had a weight. Immediately I looked down at my body, it was gone? I shivered, a bit rattled. It still felt like it was inching into my skin, burning it into a lulling burn that spread across my body. How it fully encompassed my right side...

It sang to me.

Even now, I could hear the faint murmurs of it.

Snap out of it, Tav!

I tore my eyes away from myself to finally inspect the room.

The room was dull, the granite carved ornately in the walls and low lighting made it a comforting feel, yet I couldn't grasp it because of the fact that I was being held prisoner. My eyes sluggishly went across the expanse of the room, the table filled with poultices and bandages, and the sword resting temptingly beside it. Our gear was also in the corner of the room, thrown carelessly. Then finally, another bed which Arathas was upon. Her hands were bandaged and the chains were more across her upper forearms because her hands were so damaged. She was still asleep, quite obviously because of the drool funneling on the corner of her mouth.

Gross.

We need to get up, we need to get out of here, damnit! My realization that we had to move, seemed to fuel my anger. The residue of the red lyrium seemed to be still crawling at my skin, making me even more short tempered.

"Arathas!" I heatedly whispered, as I craned my head towards her. She didn't give any indication of waking and just continued to sleep. "Ara!" I pressed on, my voice taking a higher octave. She simply smacked her lips, and turned her head to the side, getting in a more comfortable position.

Why does she have to be such a sodding sound sleeper, get out of the fade, woman, before I put you there for good! Letting my anger get the better of me, I took on a much less appropriate volume, "Arathas!" I yelled, turning my body towards her in my livid pursuit. I was already too close to the bed, and simply I fell off with a low thud. Once again, smacking my head against the bottom of the bed and the chains dug viciously into my wrists. I swore. It was a comfort to distract me from the tainted red that used to be embedded in my skin. I need an ale if I have to deal with this nug shit. I peered up at Arathas, she was grumpily waking up with low groans. That's right, you better be getting up. Which I should be to..

"Did you hear that? Get the Seeker Cassandra, she said to report any movement." A voice came from outside, then a follow of footsteps fading off.

We need to hurry, blasted. Arathas still seemed to be actually waking up to which she actually began looking around, to the room around us, and finally her wounds. She picked up her hands gingerly inspecting them and the chains that bound her arms together. Looking up again, she saw my empty bed and whipped her head more urgently around the room. "Tav?" She called out quietly.

"Down here, thanks to your ass." I grumbled, attempting to pick myself up from the hard granite floor that I seemed to acquaint myself with. She gave me a curious look and I just shook my head. "Look, we need to get out of here. The guards are coming back with a Seeker." I said quickly, using the part of the bed to support me while I heaved myself up.
