I was almost out into the courtyard when a voice comes chasing after me. I turn around to find James, out of breath, trying to catch up to me.
Panting he said, "Hey, um, since you're kinda like the only person I know at this school, would it be okay if I had lunch with you? I understand if you don't want to, but-"
I interrupted, "Of course! Me and my friends have lunch at those picnic tables under the tree," I say pointing at them through the door.
He nodded and said, "Okay, I guess I'll see you at lunch then."
"Okay."
He smiled, but turned away before I could smile back.
I watched him walk away for a second then turned around and hurried to meet my friends.
Bella said, "So how did it go??"
Trinity said, "Yeahhhh. Give us all the deets!"
I said, "Well his name is actually James Clark, and he sits next to me now."
Kaylie said, "Omg you should become friends with him!!"
I said, "Oh yeah, he's going to sit with us at lunch today. I hope you don't mind."
Alyssa said, "Mind? We're all like dying for him, I don't think any of us mind."
Izzy added, "Yeah. Its our pleasure!"
I laughed and said, "True."
After saying our goodbyes, we split up to go to our 2nd period classes. I walked with Trinity because we both had drama class next.
