Chapter 16

                              ASHLYNNS POV

  "Okay class! Today we're going to start preparing for the science fair."      I heard groans from around the room, but honestly I was giddy inside. "You'll be partnering up with the person to your right, also the deadline for finishing your projects is February 12th, a Friday. And we'll be setting up all of the projects on Sunday at 11. If you don't show up Sunday, you'll be excused on Monday during class to set it up."

I looked to my right only to see Troye, I started to blush thinking about him doing the project with me.

"So uh, you're my partner?" I uttered.

"I guess so.."

"Want to start brainstorming some ideas after school, or maybe even at lunch...I mean, it's okay if you don't!" I asked shyly, saying the last part quicker than the rest of the sentence.

"Honestly, if it gets me away from my so called.." He used air quotes " 'girlfriend' I'm down!" He said quietly, making sure no one heard him.

I giggled, nodding and turning my attention back to Mr.Burns.

~AFTER SCHOOL~

I walked down the hallway, lowkey looking for Troye. I suddenly hit something, looking up realizing it was the girl who ..(pardon my french) was a complete and total bitch to me this morning.

"Watch where you're going, freak." She said.

I felt the tears forming as people started to crowd around me. I felt someone grab my arm and help me up,Troye.

I quickly followed him down the hall waiting for him to stop, but he never did. We kept walkin until we reached a quaint townhouse.

"Hey, I'm sorry about Amber, sometimes she can be an ass."

"Why are you apologizing?" 

"Sometimes she just can't do it herself, so I feel the need to."

"Oh.." I said. "Is she your girlfriend?"

"Sadly," he sighed. "yes."

"Well, we should start on the project"

"Yeah." He said starting up the stairs. I quickly followed him and sat down in a chair in his room.

"Nice room." I said looking at all of the band and video game posters on him maroon colored walls.

"Thanks, do you like any of the bands or games?"

"Yeah! Actually my mom kind of has a career off of Minecraft..." I said pointing to a Minecraft poster.

"Really?! That's so cool! Wanna know what would be really crazy?"

I gave him a confused look

"If your mom was IHasCupquake!" I looked at him and grinned. "Wait, why are you lo-. Wait! Is she your mom?!" He pretty much screamed into my ear.

I chuckled "Yeah, it's pretty cool, sometimes she'll let me play on the Oasis server when she isn't recording."

"Thats SO cool. We should play sometime."

After we talked a bit more about Minecraft and our project, we decided on doing a project showing how to charge and iPhone with a watermelon, salt, and ice. It seems pretty weird, but it might get us a placing, of course first place would be nice, but we'll take whatever we can get.

"Okay so I'll provide the iPhone" Troye says, walking over to his dresser and pulling out an old iPhone 3.

"Wow, how long have you had that?" I said holding back my laughter over the skating stickers on the back of it.

"Since it came out, so around seven years."

I laughed a little. "Okay, so I'll buy the watermelon, salt, and ice?"

"Yup"

I was about to ask if he wanted to hang out tomorrow, but my phone started to ring.

A: Oh my gosh! I'm at my friend Troye's house. I'm really sorry for not calling you first.

T: It's fine. Just come home soon. We have to run some errands.

A: Okay, I'll leave at 5:15

T: Okay, see you later.

I started to get my stuff together when Troye asked me a question.
