-Rumors' are carried by haters, spread by fools and accepted by idiots-

Aphrodite thought nothing better to do than pluck the delicate petals off a crimson rose, softly mumbling somewhat of a phrase each time a petal fluttered to the ground.

A soft breeze ruffled her hair however didn't seem to manage to mess it up in the slightest, if anything the wind added beauty to the Goddess. The hair itself changed colour constantly, once a faded blue now a crimson red, then to a golden brown, the beauty never leaving.

"Athena has requested a meeting." A small voice interrupted Aphrodite's line of thought, almost angering her yet she managed to contain it, and instead only nodded before shooing the nymph away.

The goddess of beauty let her dress drag behind her as she entered the throne room, all twelve gods sitting rather nervously in their seats, unusual for the mighty gods and goddesses of Olympus.

Aphrodite had no interest in the meeting whatsoever, and spent half the time trimming her nails, it wasn't that she was lazy or air headed in any way, she just didn't care. Because what could she do? A goddess of beauty could hardly be of any help according to everyone else, which made her mad.

"Aphrodite?"

Athena, her sister, was looking at her with such fierceness Aphrodite wondered if she should be concerned, in which she was not.

"What is it my dear sister?" Aphrodite's voice was small, feeling the annoyance radiating off the other gods and goddesses.

"Do you ever take anything seriously?" Athena sighed, her head held in her hands, an unusual pose for such a high guarded Goddess. "Artemis has admitted to slaughtering all her hunters."

Many gasps echoed throughout the room, Aphrodite even let a small breath of air escape her lips, which were parted slightly. The room instantly erupted into a blast of chatter, no one bothering to lessen the noise.

Artemis herself stood in the midst of it all, surrounded by the gods and goddesses without any hint of shame, though Aphrodite suspected it was there, faint, but there nevertheless.

"So what happens to her?" Aphrodite looked longingly at the goddess of the moon, her stomach feeling as if it were chopped into ribbons already knowing the answer.

"Exile." Zeus' voice boomed, aimed directly towards Artemis herself.

"I have one question." Aphrodite stood up abruptly. Eyes flickering from Zeus to Artemis. "Why?"

Her voice trembled however she managed to still stand tall, Aphrodite could tell she was trying to hold herself up and if she had to take so much as one step she would probably crumble. "They were planning attack on me."

It was only a moments glance, but Aphrodite swore she saw an expression of fear flicker across Athena's face, however it was hard to tell it happened so fast.

The goddess of beauty closed her eyes as Artemis was taken away.

I see it now. Aphrodite thought of a certain son of Poseidon, whom had called out to her weeks ago. Olympus is crumbling.
