"AND THE WINNING POINT SHOT BY PLAYER NUMBER 44 MORGAN RIELLY" The announcer to this night game said.
I was screaming. I go to almost every hockey game that the Toronto Leafs play and tonight was the first night that I was going to meet my favorite player Morgan.
6 feet and 1 inch of absolute perfection.
The hockey players came into the stands after changing in the dressing room. I went to the game by myself so I was heading outside where I would get to meet Morgan. As I was getting out from my seat my coat got stuck in between my chair and the chair next to me, and I fell.
Talk about awkward and the most embarrassing moment of the night.
As I was getting up someone beside me offered me a hand. I took it and when I got up I practically died.
It was Morgan's hand.
"No one should let a beauty like you get up without a hand." He said, "Oh and my name is Morgan. You might have seen me out on the ice."
"UH OF COURSE I SAW YOU!" Is what I said in my mind. I was thrown way off guard so I was unable to comprehend or form any words that I could say what so ever.
"Are you here with anyone?" He asked me.
"Well I am in college right now and I don't have any family close by so no."
"Are you celebrating something, or do you just come here often?"
"Well I come to every game that I can but I am celebrating my 21st birthday today."
"And you have no family in town?" Morgan asked
"Well no you see-"
"Perfect." He said as he cut me off."
"I don't see how that is perfect."
"Well it just means that I get to take a beautiful independent woman out for her 21st birthday."
"Really?"
"Of course, sorry but what I your name. I did not catch it earlier."
"Paris. Named after the city of romance and love."
"Well Paris, I think that this will be the best date that I have had in my 22 years on planet earth." Morgan said as he took my hand and lead me out of the stadium.
