Walking through a door I found, it leads to a hall that went to a stage. The stage was huge. I couldn't even think of how someone would be able to hold let alone use the whole stage. That's not counting being in front of thousands of fans. My stomach started filling. One step at a time, I walked up and down the stage.
"You look like my next mistake
Love's a game, want to play?
New money, suit and tie
I can read you like a magazine
Ain't it funny, rumors fly
And I know you heard about me
So hey, let's be friends
I'm dying to see how this one ends
Grab your passport and my hand
I can make the bad guys good for a weekend...So it's gonna be forever
Or it's gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it's over
If the high was worth the pain"
I jumped when I heard a deep singing voice join in. Whipping around I see Harry walking over to me.
"Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane" He lifted his eyebrow and I couldn't help but smile when he sang that line.
"I didn't know you could sing."
"There's a lot you still don't know."
He just gives me a look.
"Plus I do not sing in front of people."
He lifted his eyebrow, daring me to sing. A new kind of knot formed in my stomach. Harry smiled at me; the kind of smile that made you smile just because. I knew, right then that he was trouble, but the good kind.
I started singing.
"But I've got a blank space baby
And I'll write your name" I smiled, lifting my eyebrow at him.
He joined in. Our voices didn't sound too bad.
The song ends, it was easy to tell who the real talented one was here. I could still hear our voice singing in my head; even in the quietness. Somewhere we heard a door shut. Jumping I looked around. I wasn't ready to face... anything. Harry pulled me to the edge of the stage, lifting me off we ran.
It's crazy to think of everything that has happened in the last few hours. My feet hit the sidewalk as I let Harry lead me. If someone asks me last week if I would be running away from my best friend, my family with Harry of all people, I would have laughed. And not a little giggle, rolling on the floor laughing.
Harry dashed into a pair of old doors pulling me with him. My lungs burned from the little amount of air I was getting. Harry pulled me close. I could feel him breathing in massive breaths as his chest rose and fell. Looking down at me, he had a smile but his eyes are what should me how he felt. There was a twinkle in them. A noise behind me caused me to look around the room I was now in.
It was a thrift shop. Harry realized where we were at.
"Come on!" His smile grew as we walked farther in.
He started taking clothes from the rakes. Around flappy hat gets plopped on my head.
"Really?" I just looked at him.
"No one would ever think you would wear that."
At first, I was unsure what he meant but then I got it. We're dressing up in disguise. So, I am not the only one who's not wanting to face what he and I have done. The mess that's awaiting us.
I feel like we're in a boat, a little rowboat. On the rim of a storm. The whole world is this storm it's going to be a nasty ride. Right now, that's not what I going to think about. It seems that Harry feels the same way. He tries on different things but everything makes him look like him. His hair, eyes, smile. It's hard to make it where he doesn't look like himself. Harry picked out a pair of skater shorts, and a light blue jean jacket. He left on his own white tank-top that he had on under his clothes. Walking out of the dressing room; I tried not to laugh but that was bad, it was just. My hand went to my mouth, as I giggled.
"Hey." He said, acting all cool. Then he slowly filled his hands up to the collar and popped it up. I lots is at that. He looked like something from a cheesy 70's movie. I squeezed my sides as laugh spilled out from me.
"Hey." He said, giving me a fake hurt look.
"Sorry, it just..." I was once again having a hard time breathing.
"You look so..."
"Good!" Harry said winking at me.
"Yeah... sure let's go with that."
He sat next to me on the bench.
"You need to do something with that hair. Still looks too much like you?"
"Says the girl who's still wearing the same outfit."
I got up and went into the dressing room. I have a few things to try on. I put on the black floppy hat that Harry put one me. I also found super short black shorts that looked like they were painted in. I liked them and just really wanted them. Trying them on they fit nicely. I took them off. I'll be buying these. I pulled on a pair of flowed yoga pants, I put the black shorts back on. Along with a gold glitter tank-top, a red plaid shirt and huge pair of white sunglasses. It was an odd pairing that somehow worked. I had my outfit in a bag I found.
"Oh my..." Harry said getting up.
"I want those." He reached for my white sunglass.
I pulled back.
"No way, find your own! These babies are mine."
He just gave a look.
"I like those shorts." He smiled. I knew my face was turning pink from blushing.
"Whatever..." I said.
Bumping him with my arm.
"Let's go find you, your own shades."
He tried on four pairs until he found a big black one. With that, it was a little harder to tell it was him. Walking down the street, no one was really looking at us. Once in a while, someone would look at the way we dressed, confused faces, but other than that nothing. It was kind of odd walking with Harry and no one was looking at us because of who he was.
"Here." Harry said, stopping outside a small shop.
Inside was a classic dinner floor pattern. The walls were gray with paints. In the far right, there was a guy and guitar playing. Harry sat in a booth with his back to the door, I slid in front of him. He orders a strawberry milkshake for us to share. He slid his sunglasses up into his hair. While I took off my glasses but left my hat on.
"We look like fools." I smiled.
"But no one is bothering us."
"True."
The waiter handed me a pink straw and Harry a green one. I lift my eyebrow at Harry.
"What?"
"Switch." I hand him my pink straw.
"So, you get my straw but I can't get the glasses."
"Yup!"
He switched while smiling.
"I look better in pick anyways."
"I'm sure you do."
I watched as he put his straw in a started to drink. He looks up at me straw in mouth, huge black sunglasses on top of his hair which is a mess. Smiling he showed his dimples. My stomach burst with butterflies. Putting my straw in Harry said, "You know?" I lifted my eyes to meet his. "I'm glad you're here and not heading home."
Smiling, "Me too."
Drinking, more the sweet strawberry taste filled my mouth.
"We're in so much trouble."
"Yup."
"What are we going to do?"
"I don't know but for now let's enjoy the fun we're having now."
Harry reached over and took my hand.
We spent another hour walking around, heading in and out of little shops. Before we headed back to into the hotel, Harry squeezed my hand before he opens the door. But no ones there. We decided that my room would be safer than the one he's sharing with Liam and Zayne. Opening my door I felt Harry squeeze my hand, again. I wasn't sure why until I looked up. There was all the guys, Harry's mother, my parents, Shannon and Jack. My eyes widened with fear.
