Dinggg Donnngggg....

Felix went to get the door, and I was anticipating who stood on the other side of it.

"Hello Miss Montgomery." Felix greeted. She greeted him back. He stepped out of the way to let my best friend in.

"Hey Rose."

"Hey Grace." I say to her.

It was three days after the mall adventure with the kids and Jace. Everyday Jace would come with the kids to my house, and again, I'd play with them and he'd do some sort of job. His jobs weren't bizarre as our first encounter, so he did normal housekeeper/servant things like cleaning around the house, vacuuming, fixing broken doorknobs and stuff like that.

We brought the kids to visit Lucy at the hospital too, and she seemed like she was doing fine. Just tired looking...

Today unfortunately, Mara and Finn were at their friends house so they weren't with me. But it was also good because, it gave me a chance to go shopping with Grace for the Halloween party. Sophia and Maria had family stuff so they said they couldn't come.

"You want to get a snack before we head to the mall?" I suggest. Grace nodded. We headed towards the kitchen, and we were greeted by the devil himself.

Grace was staring flustered at Jace, when he gave her a small wave and a smirk.

"I see you've brought a friend, Elia." Jace said smugly, using my new nickname. The thing is, all our funny nicknames at the mall didn't catch on, except for mine. They insisted it, but its not that I minded. It sounded... refreshing.

"Oh, yeah. Well Grace.... This is Jace." I say eyeing him. He better not make a move on my friend.

"Hi Jace." Grace greeted, composing herself.

"Hi girl with a name that rhymes with mine." He said teasingly. His eyes roamed up and down her. I looked at Grace to check if she was wearing anything too exposing. Nope, just jeans and a t-shirt.

"Um.. nice to meet you. We were just heading upstairs so...." Grace said tugging me back to the stair way.

Okay then, I guess no snack?

She quietly closed the door to my bedroom and turned to face me.

"Okay why the heck was that cute boy sitting in your kitchen? You've got a boyfriend Rose! And what did he just call you? It doesn't make sense, is he like your cousin or something? Long lost brother? Okay okay, if you're seeing another guy behind Ryder's back I can understand, he's kind of a jerk, but seriously Rose this is not right. And who the heck is Elia? Did you lie to him? Huh?" Grace rambled all in one breath. When she finished, she let out a sigh.

"Are you done?" I say patiently. She nodded, out of breath.

"Well first of all, he is not my other boyfriend or anything, he is Lucy's nephew, and he's her temporary replacement. And he called me Elia because that's my nickname. Get it? Rose....Elia?" I say slowly.

"Oh, so you guys are on nickname bases?" She said cautiously. Oh gosh. I guess I'll have to tell her from the beginning.

I then sighed and began explaining about Lucy's fainting, which she already kind of knew about, and about his siblings, and him being a jerk and all. The socks, swearing, car ride. I told her about the costumes, and the mall. And.. Yeah I guess that's pretty much it.

"Ohhh okay. I guess he sounds pretty jerky, but I'll have to see. And Elia, I like it. Do you mind if I call you that?" She said with hopeful eyes. I shrugged and nodded.
