Stampy's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was incredibly cold out, neither me or Sqaishey's wanted to get out the warmth of our bed. We were on our phones playing MCPE arguing at each other playfully about where the house should be. She giggles and started building something up tall in dirt. Soon it was a bear and it had a dirt tutu on.
"Our house- Barry the bear."
"Deal, thats awesome."
"He's a ballerina like you." She threw a smirk and darted out of bed, ignoring the cold and ran out the room.
"I'd be chasing you down if it wasn't so cold!" I yelled out and smiled and kept playing and put cat ears instead of bear ears on Barry. I wrote on a sign: Simba-not Barry.
"STAMPY THAT IS NOT SIMBA, THAT IS BARRY. I GOTTA FIX HIS EARS NOW." She grumbled and laughed.
"THATS SIMBA WE JUST GOTTA GIVE HIM A MANE."
A small lithe figure lept up on the bed, reminding me of yesterday. We got a pet to be our child, since we didn't wanna ruin the marriage-kids deal we made.
"SEE EVEN REAL SIMBA LOVES ME MORE!" I snuggled the little cat that had the tabby orange fur and green eyed combo with a furry neck to look like Simba.
He let out a small mew and went under the covers to hibernate.
"NOOOoooooo," her voice got lower as she dashed in and slid Simba out and snuggled him. "Simba, I thought we declared you loved me more. Traitor!"
"Naw, he loves me more, you can see it on his face."
"Does not!"
"Does too!"
"Ugh, your unbearable. Hah, get it? Un-bear-able. I made a pun Stamps! I did it! You owe me cake now." She gave me a look of victory and grabbed Simba.
"Are you asking me to get out of bed because I really really don't want to." I gave her my best pouty face, which by the way, was awful.
"Don't make throw away the spoon. I will." She whispers the 'I will' part, and she is hinting at the spoon of wonderfulness. The spoon I use to eat cereal and no other spoon.
"NO! MY SPOON!" I fake cry and Simba comes to my aid and puts his tail near my face, which fortunately, his fur goes up my nose. "Simba- bleh- help- nose- burning!"
Sqaishey doubles over laughing, while I try to rub the hair out.
"Ewww! Simba! Disgusting!" I complain, nose all red and puffy from rubbing it too much.
The kitten looked up and mewed with little psedo-innocence look.
"Yeah, keep looking at me. Jerk." I mumbled.
Nicole's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
I was very nervous, Squid said nothing of where we are going to eat, and we've been driving for about half an hour. Only when Squid put on the signal I got to the point of squirming with nervousness. The fancy restaurant didn't help.
We pulled into a parking spot at Eric's and Squid jumped out, going around to open the door for me. I looked up into his eyes, the gorgeous blue stunning me in my seat.
"Milady," he offered me his hand, and helped pull me out of the car.
"Thank you, sir." I grinned, playing along to his cheesiness.
He guided me inside, and spoke quietly to the server, and he took us to a dimly lit, two-personed table, with a fancy flower arrangement.
"David, you didn't have to take me out to a fancy place like this. This probably costs you a fortune." I sighed, internally groaning at the thought of the money a meal costs here. Not to mention the reservation cost.
"It doesn't matter about the money, I have plenty of that. What matters is if you like it."
"It'd take me probably three hours to make as much money as a meal here."
"Nicole please, just sit down, it doesn't matter to me about that."
This only annoyed me more, but I sat down, not wanting to ruin the night.
"Sir, would you like any drinks tonight? Perhaps a champagne?" The waiter asked, which only pointed out even more how much it actually costs. Not to mention I didn't even like alcohol.
"No thank you, but maybe a Apple cider?" He questions, looking at me for approval.
I give a slight nod and let out a "thank you, sir."
After the waiter left, David stared at me quizzically, as if he stared into my soul and figured my temperament in a matter of seconds.
"You remind me so much of Autumn." He whispered out, barely having reached my ears.
My eyes snapped to his and I sent him the dirtiest look, and just got up and walked out of the restaurant. No freaking way, of course he'd say something stupid like that, I don't care who this 'Autumn' is, I'm gonna slay David's ass for saying that.
I keep walking, ignoring the footsteps behind me, just walking ahead. I think over my predicament, I was half a hour from my home, and the only way home is by taxi, with a human I hate (for the moment) behind me.
I whip around and face him, fearless with rage clear in my body language.
"Nicole-"
"Don't you 'Nicole' me, just fuck off already, comparing me to your ex. Why don't ya leave me alone and go for her again, instead?"
"Okay I admit it was a jerk move, I'm sorry. Can I at least drive you home?"
It seemed like a benefit to me, I don't have to pay for the taxi, and I can ignore him for the car ride.
"Fine." I walked back to the car, and got in the backseat, not wanting to be near him.
He got in the car, and silently drove the car back to my apartment. I swung my legs around, only to be met with the same stunning blue eyes.
"Please forgive me?" He almost whimpered.
"Nah, don't think so, had my fair share of lying cheating bastards. Probably only reason you said her name, cause your cheating on me with her. I knew this was too good to be true. Fuck my life."
I fled from him and went inside, locking the door, to be met with silence. Luckily Meghan wasn't here to yell and scream at me.
I went right into my bedroom, and flopped on the bed, letting my depression take over. Of course it was too good to be true. Why would someone like him, like someone like me? Course a jock like him would ignore the sparks and the feeling of belonging with each other.
I reflected my childhood, the drunk mom, the dad that left us. I was taught fear, and nothing was ever good in life. Told that true love didn't exist.
I'm starting to believe it.
