"Hey, Max I need to go. Thanks for the ride. See you later Lisa," I said and waved them goodbye.

I stepped out of the car and walked towards the main building. I was fuming from the anger.

Was he trying to make me jealous? Or he was actually enjoying her company? Jelline was right. He would never changed.

I was about to enter in the campus when I noticed Lily, leaning against the wall.

"Hey, what you were doing with Max?" She wiggled her eyebrows.

"He just gave me a ride so don't assume anything." I rolled my eyes, controlling the anger.

"And who is the girl in passenger seat?" She asked, looking behind me.

Lily grinned and patted my back. "I can smell, something is burning."

I narrowed my eyes and said, "Yes. My heart is burning because of your stupid thinking. I have class so bye."

"Yeah, denial is the first step." She winked.

I groaned and without saying anything, walked inside.

I turned into the corridor where I saw Noah near my locker. I waved at him. "Hey, waiting for someone?"

"Yeah, I was actually looking for you," he replied in a low voice.

"What happened?" I asked, concerned, and his face dropped.

"Nina was so upset yesterday. I'm feel so bad and ashamed . . . I failed Jessica . . . I failed as a brother. I know everything but still couldn't help her. I feel so helpless." He sighed, running his hand through his hair.

"Noah," I whispered and put a hand on his shoulder. "Stop feeling guilty. It's not your fault that Nina chose him over you. You have to be strong and, hey, I'm with you. We'll expose that bastard. Don't worry. Just give me some time, okay?"

He stared at me, "It's my fault. I should have tried harder but I thought he would change. He even promised me also. But things only got worse. Now he started cheating on her, too." His jaw clenched while he added, "I just want to kill him."

"Noah, calm down. You will make things worse. Just think about Nina. Our priority should be to expose him in front of her and I have a plan for that, but you need to trust me, okay?"

His eyebrows furrowed, "Plan?"

I bit my lip and said, "Yeah, but I can't tell you right now. Just trust me."

He looked at for few seconds and said, "Don't do anything stupid. I can't afford to see you hurt too. You are important to me, too."
