A Hopeden/robron surrogate story

Babysitting

Robert tapped his thighs and sighed. "Well I suppose we should be getting back before your mum begins to wonder where you are"

Aaron chuckled, "Yeah, worst case scenario she'd think you've done a runner with me and kidnapped me" he says as he gets up from the sofa.

Robert smirked, "That is something I'd actually consider doing, you know, just to have you on your own.."

Aaron hit Robert around the head, "You're mental, Sugden"

"Ow, that hurt!" Robert says as he holds his head.

Robert and Aaron walked hand in hand towards the pub. It was nice being able to walk hand in hand together and not care what anyone thinks. As they got to the door, Robert moved aside to let Aaron in first
"Ladies first" he said, with a smirk whilst smacking Aaron's arse playfully.
"Haha! Very funny!" Aaron said sarcastically, it was always nice having a bit of banter with your boyfriend, Aaron thought, he loved having a laugh with Robert.

They walk into the pub to see Chas giving Aaron a look as in to say "Where have you been?!"
Chas smiled, "Hey love, you alright? Where have you been?" She had a quick look at Robert and turned back to Aaron, she stayed mute and didn't feel the need to comment, not that she didn't want too, but that she didn't wanna cause an argument between her and her son.
"Just to the cafe, with Robert, needless to say cause he's right here"
Just then, Aaron heard a famailar voice, he could pin point who it was and he wasn't particularly happy. "You've got company, then?!"
Gordon appeared from the back and Aaron rolled his eyes.
"You alright son?" He said, casually.
Aaron couldn't believe it. How he could just stand there and ACT like Aaron wanted to see him, like Aaron LIKED him, like as if they were actually on good terms.
Aaron rolled his eyes "what are YOU doing here?" His face, red, sweaty, and full of anger.
Gordon looked at Aaron, with a look of concern in his face "What's wrong son? Has Robert said something to upset you?"
Aaron couldn't believe what he was hearing, how Gordon could just come out and say that as if he's not trying to provoke Aaron into hitting him.
"Shut up, Gordon. Why are you provoking Aaron into smacking that smirk off your face I really don't know" Robert chimed in.
Aaron couldn't stand the site of his dad's face any longer so he turned to Robert and said "Mind if we go somewhere else? I can't be here any longer with that so called father of mine."
And with that, Robert and Aaron walked out of the pub, they weren't sure of what to do or where to go until they heard someone calling them from a distance.
"Hey, Robert, Aaron!" Robert and Aaron turned their heads to see Kirin walking up to them with Johnny in his pram. "Vanessa said you can have him for a bit, she's popped out with Carly. I've got all his bits in the bottom of the pram, nappies, blanket, the lot."
Robert and Aaron exchanged looks, this was good timing to get the thought of Gordon out of their heads.
"Alright" Robert said, "But we can't go back to the woolpack, don't suppose Vanessa would mind if we sit at hers for a bit?"
Kirin looked quite unsure but let them in the house anyway. "I'll have to let you know his nappy will need changing, sorry to have to leave you with him like that" and with that he closed the door.

Aaron took johnny out of the pram and Robert took the nappies out they both walked upstairs into the bathroom and Robert took out a nappy. "You wanna do this, Aaron?"

Later that evening...

Robert and Aaron are cuddled up on the sofa with baby Johnny and are flicking through the channels on the tv.
Robert puts on "in the night garden" and not long after that Johnny is fast asleep.
Aaron looks at Johnny with a smile and a chuckle "Aw, look at him, he's asleep!"
Robert looks down at johnny in Aaron's arms and smiles "We make a good team, Aaron."

After a few moments of silence, Robert works up the nerve to ask Aaron a question, he sighs deeply and wonders how he'll word it so that it makes sense.
"Aaron?"
"Yes, Robert?"
"What would you say, if we had a child? Like, getting a surrogate, of course" He studied Aaron's face to get a rough idea of his reaction and tried to speculate what he could be thinking, but he couldn't pin point it.
Aaron chuckles, "It's a bit too soon to be thinking of that isn't it?"
Robert pauses and starts to wonder if Aaron doesn't really want a baby.
"Well, I guess so. But, say if we really do like this baby sitting marlacky, and both of us are ready..." Robert said, hopefully. He didn't wanna force Aaron into a decision, he just wanted to know what Aaron would think.
Aaron took a while to respond, he took what Robert said in, and thought about the responsibilities of it all and sighed "I'll have a think and let you know. I mean, it's early days, isn't it, well, like you said" Aaron yawned. "All this baby talk is making me sleepy"
Robert yawned in sync with Aaron "Yeah me too"
A few minutes later, Robert and Aaron are fast asleep, cuddled up on the sofa with Johnny.
