I ran as fast as i could. All i see are trees. The skies are covered with the thick leaves of the tall forest trees. My visions start to slow down and blur. My body started getting weak and soon, i collapsed.

---------

"I think she's waking up."

I open my eyes slowly but all i see was a bright light.

"Honey, get some water."

I blink my eyes a few times and finally squint to focus my vision. A figure of a woman appeared. She looked like she was in her early 20's. She had dark brown hair that complimented her sincere hazel eyes.

A young man walked in with a tall glass of water. "Here," he said. He handed the water to the woman and finally sat down by the bed.

I slowly sat up. "Where am i?"

"We saw you passed out in the forest. You're in a cabin just a few miles north from where you fainted." The woman said with a calming voice.

The young man just looked at me dead in the eyes. His blue-gray eyes staring deep into my hazel eyes.

I finally look away. "I need to get out of here." I said trying to get out of bed.

They both stand up and try put their hands out gesturing for me to calm down.

"Whoa be careful," the young man said, "you barely woke up. Wouldn't want you to faint again."

"Thank you for the help but i need to go." I urged, walking to the door.

"Can't you stay for a little bit?" The man said. "We're having lunch in a little bit. You should stay until then." His beautiful face made it hard to say no.

--------

I sat staring at my plate.

"I'm Kim by the way. That over there is Jake." I can feel her smile even when i'm not looking at her.

"Hi." I said in the lowest voice i could make.

"What's your name?" Her voice sounded like it was trying to cheer me up.

"Amber." I said bluntly.

"Amber are you okay? You haven't even touched your food." The young lady said in a slightly worried voice.

I keep my eyes on my plate.

"I'm fine."

"Do you want me to prepare you some-" the young lady was interrupted by a loud thud on the wall across from me.

They both turned and fixed their eyes on the wall where the sound was heard.

Thud. Again.

"I'll be right back," Kim said as she got up from her seat.

Both their eyes still locked on the wall.

Run... escape... leave.

The voices in my head slurred. My heart starts to beat fast. I start to breathe heavy. I let out a slight sigh as i got up from my seat; and in a second out the door.

I started running back to the woods. Not knowing where to go. I stopped beside a fallen tree. The huge branches just lay on the cold hard ground, wet from the rain.

Hoot goes the owls in the dark forest. I look around breathing heavy, exhausted.

Screech! The sound of bear claws being dragged against the bark of the trees.

I heard a faint snap. I look up and see a branch falling. I quickly jump out of the way just on time.

"You'll never make it out alive." The voice. It wasn't the same one in my head. It was faint; like a whisper, echoing.

"Leave me alone! I did nothing to deserve this!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Rage in my voice.

"Come with me and it will all be alright sweetie." The voice of my mother was heard from me behind me.

I close my eyes and yell "I know that's not her! Stop using my mother. She's already dead. You took everything from me already! What else do you want?!"

Whispers. Words i cannot understand. More whispers. "You."

Screeeechhh! The sound of nails dragged across a chalkboard. It pierces my ears as I drop to my knees. My hands cover my ears. My eyes shut filled with tears. My lips can't stop letting out screams.
