Your POV
I sat on the couch watching, The Breakfast Club. Ben was in the bedroom getting ready to go out. Today we were going to a bookstore. It's quite popular, so I've been dying to check it out. I was already dressed, wearing the warmest clothes because it's the middle of winter.
"You ready, babe?" Ben asked walking out of the hallway. I jumped up and turned the television off.
"Hell yeah! Let's go!" I waited for him to put his shoes on by the door.
"Come on, slow poke!" I rushed him. He just chuckled at my childish behavior. Then he started walking in slow motion just to annoy me. I rolled me eyes and walked out the door.
"Race you to the car!" He suddenly ran past me.
"Hey! No fair, I wasn't ready!" I ran after him. He was already in the car by the time I caught up to him. I pulled the door handle but it wouldn't open. Ben started laughing.
"Ben! I'm freezing my ass off out here!" He finally opened the door.
"I love you, (Y/N)." Ben tried to kiss me but I pushed his face away.
"Just drive, idiot." I giggled. This is going to be a long car ride.
• Time Skip •
I climb out of the car and stretched.
Ben came to my side, quickly holding my hand. He always did this in public. Ben can be very overprotective when it came to me. It's kinda cute actually.
"Let's go, (Y/N)." Ben and I walked into the store. I smiled. Books made me feel at home. We looked through all the aisles. Ben said he had to use the bathroom so he ran off searching for one.
I was looking at a book when I was suddenly pushed to the ground.
"I'm so sorry ma'am! Are you okay?" A man around my age helped me up. He handed me the book at I dropped.
"Here's your book, again I'm so sorry for pushing you. My names, Poe." He introduced himself. I took the book and shook his hand.
"(Y/N). And it's fine. It was an accident! I'm not hurt or anything." I reassured him. He gave me a relived smile.
"Oh, that's a really good book. I've read it a million times." Poe pointed to the book in my hands. I read the title, '(F/B)'.
"Yeah! I've actually read before. It's my favorite book." I smiled at Poe. His cheeks became bright red.
"Hey, babe." A voice said from behind me. I turned around. Ben. Uh-oh. I nervously looked at Poe, who was eyeing Ben.
"Ben this is Poe. We were just talking about this really good book." I explained to him. He put an arm around me, glaring at Poe.
"Poe, this is, Ben. My boyfriend." I introduced them. Poe slightly frowned. They shook hands, but not once taking an eye off one another. I could feel the tension between them.
"Well I better get going. Really nice meeting you, (Y/N)." Poe took my hand and raised it up to his lips, placing a soft kiss on my hand. I tensed up feeling my cheeks burn.
Poe winked at me then walked away.
"Who the hell was that?! And why did he just kiss your hand? And why did you not do anything about it?!" Ben suddenly yelled. People started staring.
"Shhhh. You're making people stare!" I whisper/yelled. He roughly grabbed my hand, pulling me outside.
"Who was that?!" Ben yelled at me.
"Fucking hell! He ran into me and so we just started talking! Is it so bad to make friends? You always think I'm going to leave you! Do you not trust me? Huh? Is that it? Ben you're going to have to trust me for once!" I spat at him. He stood there, looking at me with regret all over his face.
"I'm sorry. I do trust you, it's just. I'm worried that those guys could be pervs. I don't want you getting hurt." His words shocked me. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. I kissed him on cheek. He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Thanks, but don't go crazy like that again. Okay?" I chuckled.
"Sorry. . . . I love you so much,
(Y/N)." Ben's voice whispered in my ear.
