It was dark out and Lily was left speechless as she let her hand trail across the water-soft fabric in her hands, looking as majestic as a Kings robe in the light of the dying embers.

She stood in a dream and whatched herself dissapear as she put the cloak on. Hugo gasped, his trance broken.

"An Invisibility Cloak! They are rare!" he exclaimed, then yawned. "This is enough excitement for my first day at Hogwarts. I'm off to bed."

"Goodnight." Lily mumbled, still dumbstruck.

Once she recovered, she started to make her way to the staircase, then stopped. She was at Hogwarts. She was invisible. She could go anywhere!! She shot to the potrait hole like an arrow, graceful and fast, her heart thumping, adrenalin coursing through her veins. Where to go first? Her innocent mind jumped straight to two places, the Owlery and The Library.

The Owlery was closer, and she just wanted to see it with all the owls awake and hunting. She climbed the spiral stairs leading up to the post office of Hogwarts, all the while worrying about the punishment of getting caught.

Wait-CAUGHT?!?!? I am invisible, how would I...I AM INVISIBLE!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME! Lily thought.

She reached the Owlery and had what little breath was left, robbed from her lungs as she gazed into the flurry of owls, awake, alert and beatiful! The whole scene was like a greetings card, even down to the full moon, visible through the open window. Lily sank to the floor and only moved when a howl ripped through the air, shattering the silence of the night like a bullet. Right, she was at Hogwarts. A school of magic. And there was probably werewolves in the forest, judging by the moon she just saw. Pushing away her fright, she made her way to the Library.

Being who she was, Lily didn't even think of going into the restricted section, she just wanted some peace and quiet to find a good book and read it. Lily may not be the brightest witch, but she loved reading! The first two books that caught her eye were almost exactly alike. The first one was called "Hogwarts: A History" and the second one was "Hogwarts: A History - Updated". She decided to go for the updated one and pulled it of its shelf. Woah! Lily would not be able to finish this in one night! She walked over to the register that held the names of all the people in the school, and she checked out the book under her name. She then stashed it under her school robes (that she was still wearing!) and made her way back to the Gryfindor common room. On the way, she got the fright of her life when she heard cackling behind her, and she thought she had been seen. But then Peeves the Poltergeist apeared, throwing board rubbers at everything, and dropping them along the way. Lily had to run to avoid getting hit on the head by one, but she made it to the Common Room. The Fat Lady was sleeping and didn't bother to open her eyes as she asked for the password. Lily gave it, greatful that she didn't have to worry about the Invisibility Cloak. She slipped through the portrait hole as soon as there was a gap big enough for her to fit through. She threw off the invisibility cloak as soon as she was sure no one was around, and slumped into the chair by the fire and began to read.

Lily skimmed the contents, looking for something interesting. The contents was split into Original and Updated, and one thing in particular caught her eye. It was in the Updated section, so it was near the end of the book. She found the page and immediatly got sucked in.

THE BATTLE OF HOGWARTS

The Battle of Hogwarts was a conflict that signified the end of the Second Wizarding War. It took place in the early hours of 2 May 1998 within the castle and on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Lord Voldemort (Who? Lily thought) learned that The Boy Who Lived (Huh?) was in the castle to locate and destroy one of his final Horcruxes with the other two members of the golden trio, he ordered every Death Eater and creature that had pledged loyalty to him to attack the school. Dumbledore's Army communicated the need to fight to the Order of the Phoenix and their other allies, leading to a large-scale battle. Lord Voldemort led his forces from the Shrieking Shack while Kingsley Shacklebolt (The Minister?!?) and Minerva McGonagall (AND the retired Headmistress?!?) led the defenders of Hogwarts. The battle ended with a decisive victory for the Order and the D.A., with many Death Eaters and Voldemort himself dead. It was the most devastating battle of the war, with casualties including Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange but also Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks (Teddy's parents!) Severus Snape (Is that who Albus is named after?) Fred Weasley (Weasley?!?) Colin Creevey and at least fifty more who fought against Voldemort and his Death Eaters.

"I know that you are preparing to fight. Your efforts are futile. You cannot fight me. I do not want to kill you. I have great respect for the teachers of Hogwarts. I do not want to spill magical blood. Give me Harry Potter, and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded. You have until midnight." Lord Voldemort's ultimatum, leading to the Battle of Hogwarts.

Lily's brain shut down. The world swam infront of her eyes and, for a moment, she thought she would faint. All she could see was that one quote. Give me Harry Potter. Why? Why did the most evil wizard want her Dad for? She didn't want to know the answer, but her mind, innocent though it was, was a suspicious mind, and it had already put the pieces together. To try and prove it wrong, she went to the bottem of the chapter, where it explained the meanings of certain phrases or words. Her stomach dropped.

THE-BOY-WHO-LIVED

The Boy Who Lived is a name that was given to the famous Harry Potter, along with The Chosen One. He is the only known person ever to survive a killing curse. One Sybill Trelewney made a Prophecy containing information on Lord Voldemort, or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named that a boy born to parents that had thrice defied him and born at the end of August. Young Harry was hidden by his parents the minute he was born, in Godrics Hollow (That's where we live now!). On All Hallows Eve, after young Harry's first Birthday, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named broke into the house, to see Lily Potter (Nan?!?) running up the stairs, holding Harry, whilst James Potter (Grandad?!?) stayed to fight, though He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named cast him aside with the Killing Curse. He proceded to Harry. Lily stepped in the way and begged him to leave Harry, and take her instead, so he killed her and pointed his wand at baby Harry, crying in his cot. The curse rebounded and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was destroyed, lifting the Wizarding World out of the dreadful age they were in, and naming Harry James Potter as The Boy Who Lived.

Lily didn't want to carry on, but her eyes seemed to have a mind of their own, and she read until the chapter ended. She couldn't believe it! Her Dad was famous! Her Mum was famous! Her Aunt and Uncle were famous! Her Grandparents were famous! And...and...I'm famous, she thought in shock. Lily cried into her pillow until she ran out of tears. Sleep washed over her, but it wasn't restful. She dreamed about being stuck in the middle of a room, with lots of cameras pointed at her. Harry was watching her with sad eyes, as she covered her ears and clamped her eyes shut. When she opened them, Harry was standing infront of her. Lily looked closer to see that it wasn't actually her father, but a monster with slits for nostrils and eyes like a cats, only red. Those eyes burned into her bright green ones until all she saw was red, and she awoke with a shriek. Luckly, she had her face pressed into her pillow, so the sound was muffled, and only a few girls glanced as her. Lily tried to smile a reassuring smile, and it seemed to work as they shrugged and turned away. She buried her head in her hands, and tried to calm her frantic heart. It wasn't real, she told herself, it was only a dream, but that face haunted her for the rest of the day.
