Juli's POV.
Over the weekend I got a few angry texts from Brandon, but Sunday I received an apology paragraph. I felt bad and almost gave in but then I remembered what he did. It was unforgivable.
Sunday night I began my pre-revenge prep and gathered supplies. All I really needed was a dozen eggs and a fork. I put them in my bag and headed for the bus.
Once at school I give a little nod to Garret to let him know everything is prepared. I give 6 of the eggs to him and kept 6 for myself.
At lunch while everyone's eating I go outside to the bike rack. I smashed the eggs into his seat and the handle bars. I then stab the fork into his tires. Part 1 of our plan: complete.
The rest of the school day I'm nervous for how our plan will work out.
At long last the school bell rings and class is over. Luckily I have 8th period with Garret and Brandon. Me and Garret get together and follow Brandon out of the school.
The look on Brandon's face is priceless, he just stares at his bike while everyone stares at him. He gets on his bike and Garret hides behind a bush. As he starts to ride away Garret pops from behind his bush and pelts him with eggs.
Because of his flat tires he couldn't escape the laughs of the whole grade. I had finally gotten the revenge I deserve.
I walk home with Garret and we have a great time. We decide to get ice cream so we walk to the ice cream shop.
I order a strawberry shortcake swirl and Garret orders a double chocolate fudge sundae.
We sit on a bench and eat. We have a nice conversation; he's very nice and super fun to hang around. I stand up to throw away my napkin when Garret grabs my wrist and stands up, pulling me close. He pushes a fly away strand of hair out of my face, and leans in for the kiss. And the worse thing is... I didn't stop him.
Bryce's POV.
The whole weekend I had a big smile on my face. I know I was being kinda stupid about the whole thing but I was just so happy!
On Sunday night I walked in on Lynetta and Matt talking, holding hands, and kissing. I spied on them for a while but then got bored so I went inside.
I decided to be a man and snapchat Juli first. So I sent her a snapchat saying,"Hey." After about 3 minutes she replied with,"Hi what's up?"
We carry on a conversation for a while and then I tell her about Lynetta and Matt and she sent me a puking emoji. I laughed and then told her goodnight because we had school in the morning and I didn't want to have a hard time getting ready.
At school I pass Juli in the hall and wave. She waves back and goes back to talking to her best friend Danielle.
In the middle of study hall I get called down to the library. When I get there the room is filled with 19 other boys.
Miss Fletcher, the librarian, makes us quiet down and states she has an announcement. I'm already 90% sure I know what this announcement is.
"You have been chosen by the 8th grade student body to be Basket Boys."
And I was correct. A chorus of "ughs" and "do I have to?" rings throughout the library.
"Just a quick reminder of what our Basket Boy auction is, is that 20 boys are chosen to pack a lunch and the girls will bid on an afternoon spent with you," Miss Fletcher explains.
No matter what the teachers say, this isn't an auction for the lunch it's a popularity contest. It was also social suicide.
I hope that Juli bids on me even though her family doesn't have a lot of extra money to spend on stuff like this.
"The money earned will be put towards new computers for each class."
We all moan a groan and then get dismissed. I struggle through the rest of the day and when school lets out I walk out to a wonderful sight...
The whole school is laughing at Brandon because he's dripping with eggs and can't leave because his tires are flat.
Cameras are flashing and people are pointing a whispering to their friends. I look at Juli and Garret together and feel 2 emotions: 1 happy because they did this. 2 jealous because she planned this with him and not me. I walk home confused....
