Evan wasn't quite sure how long he had been sitting there, watching Alex bleed out but the sun was slowly setting and rain was spouting down from the clouds. Blood stained the floor as Alex body lay in a crumpled form motionless. He slowly stood up from his place on the floor and walked outside, the rain washing away any traces of blood on him. Evan decided to take a walk around town, to help get his head around things.

As he walked down the abandoned street he realised that he had walked towards the centre of town. Local shops surrounded him.

"Mama, I don't want to be a fairy! I want to be a princess!" Shrieked a small voice nearby.

His eyes landed on a mother and daughter standing out of a costume shop.

'Spoiled brat' Evan thought before slowly walking towards the costume shop.

Once the duo caught sight of the smith twin, the mother quickly grabbed her daughter by the shoulders and quickly walked off. Evan rolled his eyes at their very basic display of fear. His eyes flickered back to the costume shop as his curiosity brewed.

'What would that girl need a costume for?' He thought confusingly before walking inside.

All around him were costumes. Fairies, Pirates, mermaids, princesses, horror movie killers and a lot more. Evan scanned through the rack, observing each outfit with major interest. This was the first time he had ever been to the costume shop. An elder man stood close by near the checkout, his skin wrinkled but his eyes were kind.

"Need an outfit young man?" He asked, unaware of who was in his shop.

Evan glanced around before realising that the man was addressing him.

"What for" he quickly stumbled out.

"The Halloween ball at the local high school" the elder man replied kindly.

Evans eyes bulged at that information, it was perfect. He would be able to grab crystal there....maybe even shelby. Evan tried to smile innocently at the man and nodded his head. The man smiled back before resuming his duty behind the counter. Evan scanned around, each costume sparking his interest. Maybe a pirate...no, maybe Jason voorhees...no. Evan frowned as he continued to glance around.

'What do people fear?' He thought confused.

The elder man eyed him from behind the counter before grabbing parts of a clown costume and walking over to Evan.

"Try this" he spoke before handing Evan the costume and walking off.

Evan admired the costume that he had received. A black clown costume with out lines of red stitching...it was perfect. Evan smirked as he walked over to the counter, forgetting that he had no money. The elder man smiled at Evan before quickly placing the costume into a plastic bag and handing it back to Evan.

"On the house kid, you look like you've had it rough" he smiled

Evan thanked the man before walking back towards his house near the woods. He knew that the Halloween ball was in 2 days.

'The time has come' he muttered before walking away in the rain.
