Spencer's P.O.V.

"Dude, she's going to kill you! You were her shift partner this morning and you couldn't go because you fucking broke your hand last night? You're so dead." I was loving giving Oliver a hard time about missing his shift this morning with Nik because of his hand.

"Spence, you think I don't know that? I'm lucky she didn't come and strangle me this morning before she started her shift. All I can say is thank goodness she got that lake shift, because otherwise I would have been a dead man." Oliver was right, his sister would never have let him get away for being such an idiot if there wasn't a good trade off. One of the benefits for being the alpha of the pack was that I could change her shift around so she wouldn't kill my best friend.

"I know, I know. I'm just messing with you man. Where is your hot sister anyway?" There was no denying that Nik was hot. She was by far one of the hottest females in my pack. Almost hot enough for me to want her to be my mate, if I didn't think of her as my little sister. But that would never stop me from teasing my best friend about his sister.

"Ew dude, don't go there, please. You already know every grown wolf has been after my sister since she shifted. They're all just hoping that they're the lucky bastard that is my sister's mate."

"Fine. I'll drop the subject for now. But seriously man, where is she? I thought for sure she would have had your head on a stake by now, posted for the whole pack to see."

"Wow, you're some friend Simon, thanks. And I have no idea where my sister is, nor do I want to find her so my head doesn't end up on that stake. I will be avoiding her as much as possible today. But you know if you do see her, mind throwing in a few apologies for me? It might possibly lessen my punishment."

"Dude, you and I both know that once you piss off Nik, there is not enough apologies in the world that could lessen you're punishment. You're so screwed, I'm just glad that I'm not you right now."

"Thanks Spence, you're a true friend."

"No problem buddy," I said trying to hold in a laugh, " I have a few things I need to take care of on the whole Midnight pack situation, if you happen to run into your sister though, send her my way, I need her help with some of it."

"If I survive the encounter I'll be sure to send her your way, is there anything I can help you with?"

"Nah, it's nothing you'd want to do, that's why I was going to have Nik do it, because we all know she'll just hand it off for to the pups and have no regrets about it."

"That's so true! She is relentless at getting what she wants. Alright I'll let you go now, I have a sister to steer clear from since her shift should be over any minute now. See ya!"

"Yeah, see ya! And good luck!"

I couldn't help but laugh as I left my friend to head towards my office. Everyone in the pack knew not to get on Nik's bad side because it never ended up well. I'm especially concerned about my buddy's punishment though considering his little sister was acting really weird after our fight yesterday with the Midnight pack. Nikki seemed really flustered after the fight, it was almost as if she had seen a ghost. I'm especially concerned because that was her first battle with the midnight pack since she finished training. The Midnight pack is a sensitive spot for both Nik and Oliver since their parents were killed in a battle against them 14 years ago, Nik was 5 and Oli and I were 8. I'm worried that she might have had a bad reaction from the encounter, but she ensured me she was fine. I wanted to go check on her once Oli and I got back from the bar, but she unfortunately did as she was told and had locker her door.
