Chapter 5
Vincent's P.O.V.
I can't believe how beautiful she is. She is a lot more beautiful than the pictures showed. I knew immediately that this would be the last time I could bare to come down here. If I come down here again I might do something I might regret, like I don't know, mark her.
No. I can't do that. That would just make things a lot more difficult. She is my prisoner. So what that she's also my mate, first things first, she's my prisoner.
My wolf has been constantly purring every time I'm near her since we brought her back to my pack house. He only becomes frustrated when we leave her to go back to my office. Except right now we're currently in the same room as her and he's mad. He does not like seeing his mate tied in the chair. He wants to set her free and have his way with her.
I need to hurry this encounter up before I do something I regret. I haven't even spoken a word to her, yet my body is already craving to be on top of her.
"Who are you?" she spitted out with so much distaste. It made my wolf even more mad that we were holding her like this. He just wants to see her happy.
"I'm Alpha Fiori, I'm the alpha of the Midnight pack. You're my prisoner Nikki Evans." I knew I was stating the obvious. But I wasn't exactly sure what I should have said as I was trying to rein in my emotions. I have never had this problem speaking to a prisoner before. But then again this isn't just any prisoner, this is my mate.
"No shit, you think I can't tell I'm your fucking prisoner? I'm not a moron!" Her feistiness angered my alpha instincts, but at the same time, my wolf thoroughly enjoyed seeing her feisty side.
"Why am I here?" she spit at me.
"You're here because you hold a special role in your pack."
"Clearly you have the wrong wolf, I hold no position of power in the Moonlight pack."
"But see that is where you are wrong," I began. "You actually hold a lot more power than you may think. See you own a special little spot inside the hearts of two of your packs leaders. Both Beta Oliver, your brother, and his best friend, Alpha Bates."
As soon as I said that her face paled. She probably did not realize her significance in her pack until now. She had so much influence over the Alpha and Beta duo, they would do anything for her. They had already began to search for her yesterday once they realized she was missing.
"They won't come after me, they're not that stupid."
"You think we want them to come after you, we simply want them to declare war. It has been the one thing we have been preparing for since I became Alpha." I knew they would come after her eventually. But that's what I wanted, them to come to my base. If they come here I have the home field advantage.
"You sure that's the only reason I'm here? There's not a little incentive for you?"
Right then I knew she was also aware of our bond. I quickly ordered my other men to leave us alone. The last thing I needed was them to find out she was my mate. As they turned to leave, Simon gave me a knowing smirk. If only he knew I wasn't trying to pursue any sexual urges, but to contain my secret from getting out.
"You know?" I immediately asked her. Attempting to hide the fear in my voice. The last thing I wanted was my prisoner to be able to have something to hold over my head.
"Of course I know. You think I haven't been trying to deny it myself since I saw you during battle. I had no idea then you were the alpha, I only knew you were the enemy." For some reason her words stung. I didn't want to be her enemy. I didn't like her having this distaste towards me. But I knew I was supposed to ignore those urges. She was the enemy and my prisoner after all.
