Regina 's POV

"How do I look mother?" I asked her even though I already knew she was going to criticise me. She rarely says something nice about me.
"It's hidious darling! You really think someone will like this?" A purple cloud of smoke surrounds me and I suddenly wear a completely different dress.
"Much better" she says "now let's go downstairs king Leopole is waiting for you. I just want you to know that I'm proud of you darling, be smart, make people to like you, and once they will like you they'll do anything for you."
I couldn't believe what she said! But it's my mother, not the first time she's cruel with other people. She wants me to be nice to them and when they finally trust me, treat them like slaves! anger grew inside of me!
"Mother!" I screamed "Can you please stop! I don't want to be queen! I don't want to go to this stupid ball! I don't want to be Leopole 's wife and I don't want this life! You'll need to find another queen!" I said and walked away.
"How many times do I need to tell you this! You don't run from me!" She said. Then suddenly a big grey wall poofed in front and blocked the way. Right after that I felt my feet lifting off the ground and I couldn't move, as if somebody else was in my body.
" mother... I..." before I could finish she interrupted me.
"You stupid girl! You really can't appreciate what you have can you? You know how many people want your life?" Only you I thought to myself but I kept quiet. "You really want to see me angry?" She said with her bossy voice.
"No mother...I'm sorry , I'll be good" I said.
"Fine then you can go now" and I fell back on the ground. I walked downstairs and saw king leopole waiting for me with a big smile on his face. I smiled back politely but on the inside I was crying. We entered the ballroom, everybody clapped and cheered. I smiled and waved back.
"I am so honored that you could all make it to this ball." King Leopole said. "I'm happy to introduce you to my new wife and of course, the person who made this possible, who made me strong and who encouraged me. Without her I wouldn't be standing here. My lovely daughter snow white." The doors opened and snow white walked in with a perfect long white dress, like she was a bride. She was wearing a gold crown and her mother's diamond necklace. That bitch was so arrogant! She was smiling like see was the most important human being on this planet and everybody complimented her. Then music stated playing and everybody was dancing. I had no clue how to dance but I didn't really care cause leopole danced with everyone but me. I sat there all night doing nothing. My mother was of course having fun and encouraging people to follow my orders or something. After a few hours I saw a boy, he was staring at me. Really weird. He was handsome but why should I go to him? I wasn't really in a partying mood anyway. I tried to look away, pretend that he wasn't there but I just couldn't get him out of my mind. And apparently neither could he because everytime I looked, he would stare back.
"What?" I yelled at him after 5 minutes or so "what do you want?"
"Nothing" he answered back very calm and politely. "I just want you to know that you're beautiful" he said and smiled. I was flattered. Not many people say that to me. Except of course Daniel. He always knew how to make me smile. But this random man gave me a great feeling. A feeling that I hadn't have in a very long time. Maybe that stupid bal wasn't so stupid after all.
"Well thank you..." I said back not really knowing what to say.
"May I have this dance?" He asked bowing in front of me and asking for my hand.
"I'm sorry" I said "I don't really like dance party's" just to avoid the fact that I couldn't dance. I regretted it so much.
"You don't like to dance or you just can't dance? He asked me with a smirk on his face still waiting for me to grab his hand.
"Okay fine I can't dance" I said ashamed of myself.
"Than let me teach you!" He answered softly. Yeah right like he wants to teach me? I thought to myself. Why the hell would he want that. And why is he being so nice? Something is weird. First he complimentes me and and then he wants to teach me? My mother is probably behind this. A trick that she often does. She rips someone's heart out and than she can exactly tell them to do what she wants. This is probably just a test! I thought. But then when I looked in another direction I saw my mother dancing. Which meant that it couldn't be her! Was this stranger than really this nice or was it all just a plan? I was confused and I had no clue what to say. This guy who was still a stranger to me was waiting, hoping that I would grab his hand. Why not I said to myself. When is the last time somebody actually asked you out to dance!
"Fine" I finally said and grabbed his hand "teach me how to dance" he smiled and got back up.
" then follow me my lady" he said "so you put one hand on my elbow and the other one on my wrist and just follow me."
I have to admit it went pretty well even tho I stepped a few times on his feet and I nearly fell. Luckly he was there to catch me.
"See it's pretty easy he said. And you're very good! You should do it more often!" he said looking into my eyes and smiling.
"Well thank you" I said and blushed "Its Because I have a great teacher" I said and smiled back. This time he was blushing. We danced and talked for hours. I finally know his name: Robin hood
