Jazmine's Pov.

So the bus drops me and Huey off and we walk onward to our homes. We barely make conversation as we walk; he's been more silent than usual.

"Hey, Huey."

"Hm?"

"You okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"You seem, different."

"......"

Huey's Pov.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with me. After that 'incident' at the bus stop near school I've been feeling weird.

Is it because Jazmine kissed Caesar? Why the hell do I care?...I don't care.

"Huey?"

"I'm fine," I say stuffing my hands in my front pockets.

"No your not."

"Just get off my case, Jazmine."

"No!"

I look at her. "Why're you being so stubborn?"

"Because I care about my friends, Huey! I don't want you being upset," she says crossing her arms.

Her...friends?

Why did I twitch when she said that. I sigh. "I don't know, Jazmine. Those guys at the stop just really pissed me off."

"Oh don't worry about them." She smiles. "I bet you could kick their asses anytime anyway."

Especially if they try to touch you again.

I keep a straight face as we keep walking. We walk up the block, at the same time we pass Mindy's house. A boy stands on the doorstep with a phone in his hand. He looks up at Jazmine with blue eyes, sweeping some blonde hair away. She notices and turns down, walking up Mindy's driveway. What the hell? I follow her.

"Hi!" she says as she approaches. "Are you lost?"

Jazmine's Pov.

OMG this boy is super cute! (Not as good looking as Huey) but cute! I thought he was lost so I just had to ask, now that I think about it; he looks like Mindy. Well not exactly but he has the same features.

"Heh. No, I'm just waiting for my cousin and grandfather," he says.

"Cousin?"

"Her names Mindy. Met her?"

"Yeah! We hang out," I tell him.

He licks his lips. "Well Mindy didn't mention any new hot friends."

I giggle. "I'm Jazmine, and this..." I pull Huey who was behind me to my side by his hand. "Is Huey! We just live up the street."

"Sup. I'm Lance." He nods at Huey who just returns a nod back. "You guys know where Mindy is?"

"Not exactly. I thought she came home but..." I remember how she left with Riley and Cindy and suddenly get a worried feeling. "Nevermind! She'll be back. It was nice meeting you."

"Nice meeting you too, beautiful," he winks at me. I just smile.

"Let's go." Huey pulls me away by ny wrist.

"Bye!"

We rush up the street away from Lance. I frown at him. "What?"

"You didn't even say hi, Huey," I tell him as we walk. "That was a little rude, don't you think?"
