Life Full of Surprises

Chapter Four

I watched as my brother walked away, more confused than ever. He knows something. I know of it.

I decided that it would be best if I just went home before something bad happened. So I got up and put my headphones in listening to "So Far Away" by: RED. I went at a constant pace as I headed home.

The sun was already setting. I didn't realize that I was at the park that long. A new song started to play, which I didn't feel like listening to, so I hit the skip button, which made my phone screen turn off for some reason. I glared suspiciously at my phone for a second then hit the home button, and in that same second I got a text message from an unknown number. The message creeped me out to no end.

"So how does it feel to forget?"

This made me curious so I responded with "??"

Not even two seconds later, "Don't worry. You will know soon enough Kelsey." came up on my phone. I just shrugged. Maybe it's just the wrong number, because that isn't my name.

I entered my front door and went straight up to my room, ignoring my mom's comments. I jumped onto my bed, face planting into my pillow. A knock sounded on my door. "Come in," I mumbled.

"Hey, Jess." I sat up to see Jonathan.

"What's up?"

He leaned up against the door. "You don't want to go to that party."

"I already promised Lu that I would go, so I'm not going to break it."

He just shook his head slowly and walked out. "Whatever," I mumbled under my breath.

I rummaged through my closet to find something to wear to the party. I shrugged when I couldn't find anything. I messaged Luann, "I don't have anything to wear to the party."

"I gotcha something already."

I locked my phone and tossed it into my bed just as the doorbell rang. I ran down the stairs and opened the door. Lu had a mischievous smile on her face. "Oh shi--"

"I am not wearing this." I stared at the mirror in horror. I felt naked in the dress that barely covered my butt and with the sides covered only by black lace. The v-line of the dress almost went down to my belly button. Shaking my head rapidly, "Nope."

"You owe me for leaving me at school all by myself." She was smiling innocently, knowing that she was right.

"Ugghhh fine. But we are only going for two hours."

I was laughing at anything and everything as I downed yet another cup of tequila. I slammed my cup down wanting more, which I was denied because I was too drunk already. I hugged in annoyance. "Fine then."

I stumbled to where a lot of people were dancing and let myself enjoy the music. I felt hands slide down my sides, where they stopped at my ass. I turned around and looked up at a guy who was a head taller than me with dark brown hair and bluish grey eyes. I had to admit, he was hot. "Hi," I hiccuped which made him give me a killer smile, which got me to smile back.

He took my hand and walked away from the crowd leading me to the kitchen. Thinking that he was going to get me another drink, I smiled stumbling along, but was just confused when he went through the kitchen into a different room. I looked around to see that the different room was outside.

He stopped and looked at me. "Why are we outside?"

Next thing I know is that this random person kissed me with great force but I was too drunk to do anything about it, so what did I do? Kiss him back of course.

He smirked and suddenly everything went black.

This chapter is short but I want SOME suspense. Plus, I need to think how I want it to go.
