Life Full of Surprises

Chapter Five

I woke up with a killer headache and to someone shaking me awake. "Wake up. Wake up. Wake up."

"Ugh." Whoever this person was, was asking to be punched in the face. I opened my eyes to see Party Guy, which made me confused. "What are you doing here?"

"I live here," he remarked. That was when I realized that I was in a dark room that I have never seen before.
"Then why the fuck am I here?"

"You were the one that passed out."

I wanted to make a comment but he was right. I slowly sat up, since my hangover was making my body throb. "Then I guess I should go home." The guy looked at me with a curious yet confused type of look. "What?"

"After all that alcohol, don't you feel kind of shitty?" he questioned.

I had to think about it. "I actually feel just fine. Just a small headache." and I was being honest. I don't ever really feel sick when I drink too much for some reason, which I don't do that often.

Party Guy throws a suspicious glare at me. "At least wait until after lunch."

I rolled my eyes at him, "Fine." I pause a moment, "I don't even know your name."

"Ash, and yours?"

"I'm Jessica."

He stuck out his hand toward me which I just stared awkwardly at. "Nice to meet you," he cleared his throat and ran his hand through his hair since I just kind of turned down his handshake. Oops. "So then what are you wanting to do until lunch, Jaylie?"

"Jaylie," I remarked in a dumbfounded voice. He just shrugged his shoulders. "You're a strange stranger."

"Eh. I get that a lot." He smiled a cocky smile, while got yet another eye roll from me. "You're spunky."

"Spunky? No one says that."

"Actually, I do so that's not true."

I glared at him. I'm stuck with a smart ass I thought to myself. Fantastic. "I can barely handle my own smart-assery, I shouldn't have to deal with another one."

He laughed softly. "I learned from the best." I raised my eyebrow in curiosity. "That's another story for another time."
