Matthew was walking down his street, it was a beautiful August day, for a Monday. It was the 12th day of August, his birthday! Matthew was turning 15 today. Man, I can't wait for my party, it's gonna be great! Matthew thought.
Matthew turned left on the side walk down 3rd Avenue. He was wearing high top sneakers that were red, and a little faded, with faded blue jeans and a black belt. He also was wearing a blue T-shirt under a gray and black digital camo zip up hoodie. Matthew was casually strolling. He just decided to take a walk after going to the pool, his dirty blonde hair was still a little damp. He had hazel eyes that looked like bark on a tree.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Said an unknown voice behind Matthew. He turned and stumbled to the sight of a Glock .45 caliber pistol aimed for his head. The gun man was wearing no shirt, while sagging torn jeans. He also was wearing a bandana and dark sunglasses. Another man walked from behind the first man, wearing, basically the same outfit.
"Ah yes, Matthew Colm. What a surprise! I thought I told you never to come close to 3rd Avenue. You know who we are." The man said. It was Gally Wallet, leader of the 3rd Avenue gang. They were ruthless, so bad, they had everyone on their street evicted, or else they made them pay $350 a night to stay.
"Did you come to pay up?" Gally asked harshly.
Matthew stood up. "No, I was taking a walk."
"Walk, schmok. I DON'T care." Gally got close to Matthew's face. He could smell the cigarettes smell on his breath. "You're gonna pay, or else I'm gonna give you five seconds to run for your life."
He's not kidding. Matthew thought. What do I do? Matthew felt on his back pocket for his pocket knife. It was there.
"Ok, I'll pay up." Matthew said. Gally took a step back as Matthew reached for his "wallet". Instead, he opened his pocket knife and slashed Gally across the chest. Gally screamed in pain. The gun man behind him, with his gun still trained on Matthew, opened fire. Matthew quickly used Gally's back as a shield. After the gun man stopped firing, Matthew threw Gally on top of the gun man. Matthew ran past them. He ran. He just kept running. Matthew took a left at the inter section of 3rd Avenue and Hyper Road. He headed straight for his friend's house. Matthew finally made it to Moore street and was on his friend's front steps.
