The morning after prom Brin drove me home. I decided to get the mail before I went inside. I checked to see if there were any letters for me. There was. It was in a small envelope with no return address and a sticker of a question mark on the back. I frowned as I looked at it, flipping it over. It gave no indication who it was from. I went inside and gave Christy her mail and hid my letter underneath my jacket so she wouldn't take it. I went to my room and opened the letter.

I know who you are but you don't know me. I've been watching you for a while now. You are very interesting. I have a proposition for you. You will go to the clock tower at noon in two days, there will be another note waiting for you. Follow the directions and there's a chance that you might find your parents.

At first while I was reading the note I was really creeped out, but after I finished it I was both excited and scared. A hope at finding my parents, I was a little skeptical at first considering the were supposed to be dead, but as I continued to think, I remembered that their bodies were never found.

My parents were scientists. My mom was a physicist, she was working on dark matter. She was so close to figuring out where to find it. My dad was a chemist, he was working with some unstable, explosive chemicals. He was always very careful but one day it exploded. The laboratory went up in flames and no one ever figured out what really happened. There was no research done they just blamed the chemicals. I have always wanted to find what happened but I never had the chance.

I called Brin after I read the note.

"Hey, I just got this really weird note. Meet me at Bueno in fifteen minutes."

I walked into Bueno and saw Brin. I walked over to where she was sitting and sat down with her.

"Hey, what's up." She said.

"I got the mail after you dropped me off, and found this really weird note that was addressed to me" I said.

"What did it say?" She asked.

I handed her the note. She opened it and started reading. I could see her facial expression start to change as she read the note.

"Wow" she said as she finished reading.

"Yeah" I said.

"What do you think it means" she asked.

" I don't know, but I think I wanna find out."
