PROM DAY
I walked downstairs, in the dress I had chosen. I felt beautiful, for once.
"Wow. What a beauty." My mom said and smiled.
"Thank you mom." I smiled. "Where's dad?" I asked forgetting that he was gone.
She looked at me confused. "He-"
"Right, he left on tour again." I said and sighed.
"Don't worry.. I'm sure he'd say the same thing, you look beautiful."
"Thank you mom." I said and smiled big, she smiled too. I love to see her smile.
The doorbell rang and I'm sure it was Tyler. My heart started racing, I felt nervous. "That's probably him." My mom said.
"Most likely." I said opening the front door. It wasn't him.
"What are you doing here?" I asked kind of confused.
"He's not coming for you Darcy." My bestfriend, Kim said.
"What do you mean he's not coming? He said he's on his way."
"May I come in?"
"I.." I said, going outside and then closing the door behind me. "What happened? Why did you say that?"
"Darcy.. I don't want you to get hurt."
"Really Kim? Is this why you're making up these lies now? Because you don't want me getting hurt? He's a great guy and you were the one that wanted it to happen so deal with it and just leave. Please!"
"Darcy I'm not lying to you! He's not coming for you, he-"
"He what?! You're gonna make up another lie?"
"Darcy!" She yelled. "Listen,"
"I don't wanna listen to your damn lies."
"He isn't gonna come to get you! He was telling everyone he was using you."
"He's gonna come. I know he will, so leave."
"He isn't going to-" she said getting cut off by Tyler.
He walked towards the door and smiled at me. "Woah you look amazing!"
Kim looked at me as if she wanted to say something, but she ended up leaving, angry.
"Thank you." I blushed. "You look great yourself."
"Are you ready?" He asked.
I nodded. "Let me just let my mom know."
"Of course." He smiled and waited.
I opened the door and went in. "Mom.. He's here!"
She came from downstairs and smiled. "I hope you both have fun and he treats you right. Where is he?"
"He's outside already.." I said and she went outside and stared talking to him. "Okay mom, I think we're gonna get going.." I said trying to make her leave.
"Have fun baby." She said hugging me tight and then kissed my cheek. I rolled my eyes and locked my hand with Tyler as we walked to his car. The nervous feeling was going away and I was feeling comfortable with him.
He opened the passenger door for me, I got in and then he closed it and went to the drivers. "So what was that all about? With Kim." He asked as he began to drive.
"Oh, nothing. She just came to pick up something she had left when she came over."
"Oh," he said in a nervous kind of tone.
"Why?" I asked, curiously.
"Just wondering."
I stayed quiet until we arrived. He got out, opening the door for me again and then closing it after. "Ready to have some fun?" He smirked.
"Of course." I smiled.
Little did I know what was coming.
