Since yesterday, my mom has been acting way different than usual. She's kind of depressed. My only guess I that maybe because my dad is leaving this weekend, more like right now, for the new tour so he won't really be around much.
I went downstairs and saw them having a serious it talk. I looked at them. "Hey,"
My dad turned and gave me a look. "Yeah?"
"Oh, I just wanted to be downstairs.. Is that fine with you?"
"We're kind of talking right now," He said. "Come in a few minutes, yeah?"
"Um, sure." I said and went back upstairs.
My phone vibrated. I checked it and of course, it was S.
"Poor D, you're daddy and mommy won't be together for much longer. Much love! -S."
I don't know what this means, but I hope this is a lie because I don't want to go through what I went through when I was a little girl again.
I swallowed hard and went into my room.
From my room I heard them yelling and I could tell my mom was crying. I went with my younger siblings and stayed with them incase anything else happened like before.
"Get out!" I heard my mom yell. I'm sure something has been going on.
She ran in opening the door from my room and slamming it, making sure it's locked. She tried not to show her face.
"Mom?" I asked getting closer to her.
"What?" She asked turning around, she had tears rolling down her cheeks and not only tears, but a bruise around her lip and some hand marks on her arms. I checked her out, hoping there isn't anything worse.
"What happened? What did my dad do?!"
"Don't worry about it. But let's not go out." She said.
"I want to know what happened."
"We fought, that's it."
"And he had to hurt you?" I asked.
"No, he didn't, but he did because he was drunk. This happened yesterday and he was trying to apologize but I can't accept his apology." She said.
I sighed. "Wow." I didn't really know what else to say so, I stayed quiet and sat on my bed.
My phone vibrated once again.
New Message:
"Oh, Darcy, so sweet and caring aren't you? Things will end for you baby. Have fun experiencing worse things. Oh, and let's not forget who's next. 💋 -S."
My eyes formed tears. I put my phone down and thought about that text.
