After I got over the initial shock of school being over, I launched into party mode. I ran to the car and sang songs and bounced around like a caged grasshopper. I talked nonstop for hours to my mom and to my friends and to my pet bunny, Lulu. Ok, so maybe Lulu was stuffed, but still, I knew she would become real one day, so she counted as a pet. I talked about my plans for the summer, and made arrangements with friends to hang out.

One of the first things on my agenda was to go to Janice's birthday party. She was having an awesome party in the woods and she was camping there. So of course, mom said I couldn't camp, but I could hang out. Sira was going to be there, possibly Meters, and this other guy, Vanillo.

Vanillo was actually pretty cute. He had black hair with a green streak that fell across his forehead. He had cute dimples, and since I decided that I wasn't with Joseph anymore, I thought Vanillo was the perfect alternative. His nickname, which I'm pretty sure he made up himself, was Vanilla Shake, and that happened to be his favorite dessert. He was kind of girly and liked shopping and Starbucks and other weird stuff like that.

Anyways, I was super excited to go to Janice's party, since she was my best friend. Then, which the other people, I'd have my two best friends, and my two main crushes all in one campsite. It was going to be epic, or so I thought.

The other main item on my list of things to do was CET. That stands for Children's Educational Theater. It was basically a theater camp. It sounded kind of snobby, but fun. I would be taking three classes, then doing tech work for one of the performances. Some of my friends were going to be there, including Meters and Vanillo. There were some people at my school who already went to CET, but this was my firs time.

One of the other people going was Violet, a really nice girl from my dance class. She seemed a bit strange to me, since she was always complimenting me. She complimented me to the point where one day at school, I actually whipped around and said, "why?!" To her. That stopped her for a while, but she was right back at it soon enough. Eventually, I actually started liking it. I knew I could always count on her to tell me I was still worth something. It felt nice to be cared about.

I spent the entire day planning what I would do over the summer with all of the extra time on my hands. I went to sleep pretty fast. Right before I went to sleep, I reached over and turned my alarm clock off with a satisfying click.
