The week rushed by until I reached the day of Janice's party. I got picked up by Janice in the morning. I sat in the middle seat on the left and Janice sat next to me. Vanillo and Sira were already in the back of the car. I found out that Meters couldn't be at the party for whatever reason, so that made me fairly angry at Meters. He probably had some lame excuse for his absence, but I didn't care to hear it.
The car ride was really long, so we got to talk and hang out and at one point we started singing random songs. After that, we started pretending to be each other, but that offended Sira, so we couldn't keep playing it. Sira got offended at a lot of things really. I found that interesting, but maybe I was just a really chill person so I didn't know what it was like to be offended.
When we finally got to the campsite, I leaped out of the car and ran around on the trail. Janice had a cabin, which I had never experienced while camping. I always slept in a tent, but it was a nice change to have a cabin. Of course, I wasn't staying the night. Vanillo wasn't staying either, so I had to drive home with him.
There was a river near the camp site, so we went down to hang out. We ended up getting in the water and I dunked completely underwater. Then we sloshed around for a while until just propping ourselves up on rocks in the water. We floated for a while and chatted about random stuff.
We started playing truth or dare in the water which usually just leads to problems, but it was my favorite game. When it was my turn, after some swimming and dunking dares, I dared Vanillo to play footsies with me. To set the record straight, I had absolutely no idea what footsie really was except that it involved toe touching. I was a little bit crazy that day, I think it was all the candy I ate.
Vanillo absolutely refused to engage in any physical contact with me. That sort of killed truth or dare for us. It was just too awkward, especially after Sira explained what footsie was.
When we got cold enough, we headed back to camp and got changed into dry clothes. Then we all sat around a campfire and roasted marshmallows to make s'mores. We started playing truth or dare again because we weren't camera original and I dared Vanillo to hug me. He chickened out completely and refused. It was pretty lame in my opinion. Apparently any type of anything with me was revolting to him, so I decided to ignore him. That failed pretty fast.
Vanillo and I were walking on one of the paths and we somehow got to talking about slapping people and how guys can't slap girls and he whipped around and slapped me in the face! I was so extremely mad at him. I stormed away to go talk with the girls. They said I was overreacting. After some huffing and glaring it was time for presents.
I had made Janice a nice card and gotten her a box of candy. I felt pretty stupid looking at my present next to everyone else's because all the rest of Janice's family had gotten her tickets to Disney land and all the rides as a group gift. Janice was happy so it was great anyways. Vanillo and I shared our sodas with each other. I was being really weird that day. Of course, it was actually his stupid idea. He stole my soda and drank it so it was his fault.
The day was nearly over, and it was time to head home. I loaded into the car next to Vanillo and watched a grumpy cat movie on his phone while he stared mindlessly at nothing. Overall, it had been a pretty awesome day.
