Rubadiri's POV

"Are you listening to me?", Jeed's deep voice snapped me back from my day dream. I rubbed my shoulders and assured him that I was, which was a big, fat lie. I hadn't seen Sadiwe all day, and to be honest, I hadn't missed anyone that bad. Just when I was about to find an excuse to tell Jeed to go look for her, God answered my prayers. She stepped out, holding her visibly freshly combed hair up above her nape, laughing at something Dentaa might have said.

Lord have mercy! Nobody had ever looked so beautiful in my eyes. And her laugh, oh God so help me, her laugh lit a flame, no a fire that threatened to burn out all thoughts of anyone but her. I watched on as she strutted past us. I crept over and planted a feathery light kiss on her shoulder, making her jolt.

" I missed you.", I whispered into her ear, making sure my lips grazed it slightly. I knew that that drove her crazy as much as it did me. She giggled and nuzzled the shoulder on which I kissed her, trying to hide that enormous and absolutely gorgeous smile on her face. She turned around and faced me, projecting a weak excuse for an annoyed face.

"You can't do that here Rubadiri!", she whisper-yelled, looking around to see if anyone had seen me kiss her.

"Why not?", I cheekily asked, playing with the stray strands of her beautiful, thick, natural hair, twirling and releasing, twirling and releasing.

She swatted my hand away playfully and put a little distance between us.

"Let's go for a walk, this place is filled with people!", I suggested, drawing closer to her.

"Okay, Mr. You Must Obey My Every Command.", she mockingly replied, trying to imitate my voice.

" Cute.", I looked at her and laughed.

Beautiful + Funny + Interesting = Catch!

"So where are we going in this weather?", she looked up at the frowning clouds and ran her fingers through her hair.

New gesture I'm in love with alert!

" Hmm, I don't know yet.", I said and smiled at her bewildered face.

I went closer and stood beside her.
"I'm dying to kiss you. ", I said in her ear.

"Hello."
The air suddenly gave off a cold and maliciously evil aura.
Zénanie.

"Hello.", Zénanie said, swerving me and going straight for Sadiwe.

What is she doing?

" Um, hi.", Sadiwe smiled, looking a bit confused.

"You're Sadiwe, right?", she said sweetly, as if she could hide that repulsive evil grin.

Jeed warned me about the evil ex girlfriend thing, but it didn't seem likely to happen to me.

Now I know I'm part of that one in a million.

"Yes I am."

"Hi Rubadiri.", Demon girl turned around to face me.

" You know her?", Sadiwe cocked her head to the side and looked at me in a huh? kind of way.

"Know me?, oh honey I was his girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?", the questioning look deepened.

" Yeah, he said he loved me and everything but...", she pouted and looked at Sadiwe.

Lord why?
I looked at Sadiwe's face and saw the hurt and anger on her face.

OOOOH boy, somebody's going to be dragged by the hair by the time we're done here. Inner me warned.

"Oh okay, excuse us please.", she stepped aside and approached me with undeniable anger.

I was in love with her yes, but by God, she was scary when she was angered.
Claws out, ready to scratch out my eyes.

"I can explain.", I put my hands up and retreated as she stepped towards me.

"Don't bother.", she stormed past me, headed for the woods.

" Wait! I called out and went after her.

This is going to be a looong day. I told myself as I took after her.
