CHAPTER SEVEN

Christmas Break

 

The residential and workplace compound structures were already finished. They just needed to be furnished and they were all be ready for occupancy.

The new structures in Perez Farm as well as in Gonzalo Orchard were also finished. They were start the operation of the farm by January 3, 2011.

They all took the much needed Christmas Break first.

Carlos gave all his employees the needed break from work starting from December 17, 2010. They all had the Christmas Party in the terrace of his penthouse in Vienburg.

Margarita attended that party. It was just a small group of at least twenty people. By January 3, 2011, Carlos’ employees were to increase exponentially.

Margarita had seen how good as a boss Carlos was. He was a generous man not only to her but to all the people working for him. Although he demanded hard work and excellent performance among his employees, they had never shown any ill feelings for him because he was a good man. They had been well compensated for all the work they were doing. Carlos even provided them with generous Christmas bonuses.

She was in this kind of thought when she felt Carlos’ arms around her waist.

He hugged her from behind. “What are you thinking, sweetheart?” He also kissed the base of her right ear.

She tilted her head to kiss his lips and then looked back at the happy faces of his employees down the terrace. They were at the rooftop on the railings near the lounge area beside the infinity pool.  “Your employees are all so happy.”

He said nibbling on to her nape, “They all have been with me for quite some time.”

She shivered. She turned to face him. He had been so busy the past few months. She missed the times when he was just holding her like that precise moment.

He looked into her eyes with so much passion.

She caressed his left cheek gently with her right hand.

His lips kissed that hand.

She slightly opened her mouth to say something but Carlos took such opportunity to claim her mouth for hungry yet gentle kiss.

Instinctively, she had put her arms around his neck to pull him much closer. She stood five feet seven inches and Carlos was five inches taller than her so he had to bend down every time they kissed

For the past few months he had never kissed her this passionate. He had been very busy with work and whenever they were together, he just couldn’t find an opportunity to be alone with her for a long time. He missed kissing her like this. He had pulled her body much closer when she had put her arms around his neck. But she pulled away from him. She heard somebody walking up the stairs to the rooftop.

It was a group of employees about to leave early so that they could catch up their flights back to their far provinces.

After an hour, the Christmas Party ended.  In another hour, they had to leave for London aboard Carlos private jet.

Margarita’s relatives by her mother side wanted to meet Carlos so they scheduled a flight to London by December 17. They were then to return to Quisia to celebrate Christmas with Don Alvaro and Doña Eleanor by December 23.

Margarita’s mother had two elder brothers and two elder sisters. All of them were married with two or three kids. All of her cousins were married too. All in all she had four nephews and six nieces by her cousins.
