"Why would you ever do that?" Glenn angrily responded. I ignored Glenn and continued to watch Merle. I was astonished.

"It ain't for you, Glenn. It's for Aria. I don't want her getting hurt." Merle said, earning three surprised faces. Mine for Merle actually calling Glenn his real name. Maggie and Glenn's for Merle actually caring for someone. Even though I knew Merle cared for me and Daryl. Merle began to tell us his plan that would hopefully work and not get all four of us killed.

"Look, Aria, I need you to promise something-" Merle started. I began to tear up. I knew this would come.

"No. Don't do that. Don't you say your goodbyes. Don't act like this will be the last we see each other." Merle scooped me up in his arms and I sobbed in his chest. Glenn and Maggie turned away awkwardly, then made their way through the small hole in the wall that Merle made for us. Glenn went through, first handing Maggie his gun. Then Maggie passed her and Glenn's guns to him and went through.

Merle and I knew deep down this was probably the last time we'd see each other. No matter how tough Merle is, anything could happen. Walkers and humans were a threat now.

"You sure you can't come, Merle?" I asked for millionth time, pulling away slightly but my arms were still around Merle.

"You know I can't. Got to keep an eye on that evil pirate." Merle chuckled at his nickname he made up for the governor. I kissed Merle on the cheek and hugged him one more time. Then made my way through the hole.

"You two girls ready?" I asked Glenn and Maggie, smirking.

Glenn rolled his eyes in response at my comment. I had become pretty close with both of them. Considering we spent three days tied up in a room together.

"Hey, wait up y'all." I was the only one to turn back and Merle had my first gun I had found when this world went to shit. It was just a pistol, but I can't believe I almost forgot it. I almost went into this world with just a hunting knife. I thanked Merle, then hugged him again. Then went to catch up with Maggie and Glenn. I heard Merle shut the hole back up, hopefully securely.

"Stay safe, Merle." I whispered to myself.

Author's Note:

Sorry, I just didn't feel the need to take up, probably, two pages with how Merle got the three out of there. All you need to know is they got out safely.  What I really want you all to read is them getting to the prison and I'm trying to get them there in a reasonably time!

But if you want I can write out that process from  the whole time that the "~" represents. Which is 3 days. I won't post it as update. I'll just post it as soon as I finish it. Remember I'll write and post it, if you gusy ask me to.
