A/N: Guys thank you so much for taking your time to read WILD! You guys inspire me to write more and well here we go! Welcome to TORN.

Ten years ago.

"Yes and thank you Deaton. I'll call you as soon as they leave." I heard my mom say while holding the phone between her shoulder and the side of her head, she looked rushed for some reason. Her voice sounded serious.
I tried to look interested in my homework but I wanted to know what they were talking about.  "I hope nothing goes wrong." I sharpen my hearing to see it I could catch something from Deaton. "What's up with mom?" I asked Peter who was sitting on the couch watching tv. "Don't know." He said without looking at me.
"Laura! Come down please!" My mom shouted upstairs. "Coming." My sister replied. After a few seconds, Laura was coming down the stairs. "I want you to take your sister and your brother upstairs. Now." My mom said motioning to her room. "Okay? What's happening?" Laura asked. I noticed she was as confused as me. "Don't ask and just do it." She replied. "Okay. Okay. Cora, Derek let's go to my room." Laura said grabbing Cora by the hand. I started my way upstairs when I heard my mom ask Peter if he was ready. I looked to my side just to catch a glimpse of Peter nodding. I continued walking to Laura's room.
Thankfully the window on her room overlooked the front entrance, I walked to it to see my mom and Peter standing in the middle of the front entrance. "What's up with these two." I whispered to myself. That's when I noticed a shadow moving through the trees. And then another shadow, and then another. It seemed like my mom and Peter were surrounded by I don't know what. "Laura? Can you come look at this?" I said without taking my eyes away from the scene. My sister came running to my side looking at the same thing. "What is that?" She said. "I have no idea." I replied. And then the shadows stopped in mid air revealing a group of men and women dressed in elegant black coats. But there was one in particular that caught my eye. He was wearing a black long coat that looked like a cape. It touched the ground as he walked. Black leather gloves covered his hands and his hair was long falling to the left side of his face. His skin was pale but I was one hundred percent sure he was not a vampire. Finally I saw his eyes. It was like two black holes on his face. No pupils or white parts. Just a pair of black marbles on his eye sockets. "Hello Raven." I heard my mom say to the man that seemed to be the leader of whatever they were. "I see you still know how to make an entrance." I heard Peter say but my mom was not happy with what he said because she turned her face at him in disapproval. "We need to talk about the incident." My mom said without missing a beat. Raven's facial expression changed from a calmed to a hesitant. "We already said we were sorry Thalia. I even killed the one that killed your cousin." Raven said, his voice deeper than I thought. "That doesn't change anything. He killed my cousin because knew he was a Hale. But Lucius didn't have anything to do with the war between my family and your people." My mom replied. Her voice sounded harsh but she had her reasons. Lucius was twenty years old when he was murdered by someone I didn't know. Until now. He was murdered two weeks ago during a lunar eclipse. It was not on his favor.
"That's why we came here Thalia. To make an offer." Raven said without blinking. "I want to make a pact with your pack. I know they're listening." He continued looking around him. That's when I noticed the rest of my mom's pack standing at safe distance around the house. "My people is not to cross paths with the Hale pack.  For as long as we both live." Raven continued. A tall man walked to stand next to him. He was carrying a crimson red box. My curiosity was killing me.
He handed it to Raven as he walked closer to my mom. My heart started to beat really fast, I was worried Raven was going to do something awful but instead he opened the box in front of my mom revealing a piece of paper. "This will be the proof of the pact. It is not to be broken since it's the only thing that will hold our words." He said. I let out a breath I was holding. The tall man handed my mom a pen for her to sign the pact. At first I saw my mom hesitant. But then took the paper and carefully took her time to read it through. I guess she ended up agreeing with it since she took the pen and printed her name across the shinny paper. "I want you to give this to Deaton. I find him to be the only human you trust." Raven said closing the box with a key and handing it over to my mom. She just nodded. "Thank you Ronove." Raven said to the tall man as he walked away to stand next to the rest of the people. "How do I know you will keep your word?" My mom said as Raven walked away.
"Oh dear. I am a man of my word." Raven replied as he vanished in thin air.
