A/N: Hey, this chapter's actually really short. I wish it wasn't, but what can you do? It is what it is.

"Finally! I've been waiting for you, forever! I have something really important to tell you."

"Yeah yeah, I'm sorry. I was held up with Max. Anyways, should I be scared?"

" I don't know. But it's okay, first you tell me. Who the hell is Max? Is he cute?"

I gave in, without any arguments. She's going to get everything out of me anyway. Might as well make it easy. "Well you know how this semester's chemistry course is lab based?" She nods, and motions me to go on. "Well Max is my lab partner. Is he any cute? Yeah, I guess."

"That's all I get? He's my lab partner. And I thought I was your best friend. Come on there has to be more."

"Honestly, what do you want me to say? We literally just met. He works at A Coffee Place, and as far as I can tell he's a really nice guy. Enough about him, tell me what you need to tell me. "

"Ooh, sounds awesome!" She just stares at me. And I squirm under her gaze.

"Stop staring at me, it feels weird. Come on, tell me! It can't be that bad. It's not like you killed someone. Please tell me you didn't kill anyone."

"Do I look crazy to you?" She asks with a straight face.

"Umm, y-..." I start off, only to be immediately cut off.

"No. Nope. Don't. Anyways. Right, so remember that semester abroad program I applied for, but got waitlisted?"

"How could I forget, you were literally awake for three days straight to make that damn essay perfect."

"Haha, coffee. So basically the college had the funds to sponsor three more seniors this year, and well I'm one of them!" She squeals the last part.

"NO FREAKING WAY! THAT IS SO AWESOME!! There aren't enough words to describe how happy I am for you."

"Thanks, Vernie. I wouldn't even be able to write that essay without your help. You keep me sane. I don't know what I'd do without you." She says as she engulfs me in the biggest bear hugs ever. It then hit me, I would be without my bestfriend for a whole semester. The last semester of college. What would I do without her? As cheesy as this sounds, she made me whole. She pulls out of the hug, only for me to hug her again. I could feel the tears and emotions trying to pour out of my case. But I knew Annalise, she'd do anything for her friends. Including skipping this opportunity. That meant, I had to be strong and get my shit together.

This time I pull out of the hug and look into her sparkling grey eyes. "You better send me pictures of cute European boys, you hear me?"

"Just pictures? Hell I could get you numbers." She says as we both burst into this endless void of laughter. This is what one could call a bittersweet moment.

"So when will the three of you leave?"

"In three days. It's crazy because everything is so last minute. We found out about our acceptance right after first hour, and we were told not to go to the remaining of our classes. I'm so excited, nervous, and sad at the same time. Is that even possible?"

"Anything's possible, right? I mean look at us, the most social person is best friend with the introvert. But dude, that is so soon. We need to start packing! Oh by the way, who are the other two students?"

"OH HOW COULD I FORGET! You're going to love this. The other two are none other than James and some girl named Alia."

"Wait, James is going too?" No wonder I hadn't seen him for the rest of the day.

"Yeah isn't it just perfect?"

"I fail to see the point, please elaborate."

"You see dear comrade, he'll be gone for a whole semester. Meaning, you'll be away from him. Which means, that you'll be able to get him out of that pretty little head of yours. It's perfect, don't you see?" She actually had a point. I wouldn't be having any awkward moments with him, and I'll be able to get over him. I shake my head in agreement.

"Hmm. You're right. But forget that, because right now we need to get packing!" I grab her arm and pull her to her closet on her side of the studio.

Five hours later, we were sitting in a heap of clothing.

"THIS IS SO HARD. It's not supposed to be hard!" Annalise screeches.

"Please, shut up. You're giving me a migraine. You've been complaining for the past billion hours."

"HOW IS THAT MY FAULT? It's just so hard. Like I have to look SUUUUUPPPEEERRR cute. It's freaking Europe!"

"Honestly, breathe. Please. We still have two-ish days. We've already packed the undergarments, and a couple of outfits. We should probably throw in some coats or something, right? It's like kinda chilly there?"

"Yeah, luckily we have plenty of those. Thanks NYC. I'm so tired though dude. Let's just eat something and hit the hay. We'll finish things tomorrow."

"Thank god. Can you please get me some food. I honestly can't even move, I might just sleep here."

She looks at me in disgust and picks up a plaid shirt from next to her and throws it at me. "Loser."

I just roll my eyes at her.
