Chapter 5

"Get her on the table." Doc instructed Kyle as everyone filed into the back of auto repair shop. The room was filled with tons of jars and medical looking equipment. Weird. Maybe this is where they came to get stitched back up like we have Deaton. "Sadie took a lot of energy out of her and she will need to rest for a while. What got her so worked up?"

"One of the new players started calling her out because she was a girl, so she challenged him and threw him into the side of the rink." Scott explained showing his alphaness.

"Thank You Scott McCall, true alpha." Doc said incredulously.

"How do you know who I am?" Scott asked. I already knew how he knew because I could see the spiral tattoo on the inside of his arm that looked exactly like Derek's, but this one means something completely different.

"He's a druid." I stated pointing down towards his forearm. "Satomi taught me about druids a few years ago. They live all over the world, but there are only a few that still bear the triskelion tattoo, the mark of a true druid. Many don't get it because they want to keep their past secret, but the others like to embrace it."

"Correct young werewolf. I am a druid. Satomi is very smart lady I remember when she rolled through town a very long time before all of you were even born." Doc explained to us then looked back down towards Sam who was lying unmoving on the on the metal table. "She will be fine, but someone needs to stay with her at all times. Luke, who is staying with who because whoever is staying with Sam will have to look after her, when Ira can't?"

"Well Stiles is staying with Matt, Malia is staying with Sage, Kira is staying with Maddie, Lydia is staying with Logan, Scott is staying with Luke, Liam is staying with Kyle, Isaac is staying with Ira, and Brett is staying with Sam." Luke explained then glanced over to Kyle who was glaring at me with fury in his eyes like he wanted to kill me. "Kyle calm down. I feel you man, but Sam said we need to trust them and plus Ira will be right there down the hall."

"Fine, but if anything happens to her I will take my katana and shove it so far up your butt it will cut your tongue in half." Kyle explained getting closer and closer to me flashing his bright yellow Kitsune eyes. "Do I make myself clear?"

"C-c-crystal." I stuttered slightly. Even though I am taller than him he is still a lot buffer than I so he was still pretty scary.

"Don't forget to have Sam take this with some water when she wakes up because her head will hurt. This will help." Doc explained then handed me a small clear container filled with a few leaves a plant that looked like a mixture of Rosemary and Thyme. "Make sure she takes all of it."

"I will." I reassured Doc. "So how am I going to get her home because all I have is her bike."

"Well Kyle is driving Isaac and I home so we can take Sam as well, while you follow us to the house on Sam's bike." Ira explained trying to work everything out.

"Just one more question, where is all of our stuff?" Stiles asked

"My mom, the principal, brought them to the houses you will be staying at, you off at the school." Luke explained. "Sage, I can take Logan and Maddie to their houses with their guests. So you have enough room for Malia and Stiles."

"Thanks, Luke. We should get going. Bye, Doc." Sage thanked then guided her group out the door.

"We should all get going. Bye, Doc." Luke explained then stepped out the door with Maddie, Lydia, Logan, Kira, and Scott following close behind.

"I will see you all later and don't forget to remind Sam she is working tomorrow after school." called out after Luke then turned his body towards where the rest of us were standing. "Its getting late and I know that the moon is almost out you better get home before the curfew starts."

"Alright, see you later Doc." Kyle did one of those bro hugs with Doc then picked up Sam like a baby and walked out the door making sure not hit her head. Ira followed quickly after them with me slowly walking to when I was called back by Doc.

"What is your name again, young werewolf?" Doc asked which caused me to stop and turn around while still standing in the door.

"Brett Talbot." I answered wearily not sure what he wanted with me.

"I hope you treat Sam right or you are going to have a very angry pack on your back, even Sage will beat you with her baseball bat." Doc explained. I could feel my face contort into a very shocked expression as to how he knew about Sam and I. "It's okay I won't tell anyone. I will leave that to the two of you."

"How did you figure it out?" I asked flabbergasted as to how he could have possibly known.

"Well you weren't exactly good at hiding it." Doc explained cleaning up the small room by putting away some vials. "I mean seriously. You were all, but holding her hand. You got it bad, man."

"Yeah, she is perfect. I just love her so much." I explained not understanding why I felt this strongly about a girl I just met not even 24 hours ago.

"I never thought I would see the day, but it looks like you two are true mates." Doc explained.

"Satomi taught me a little about mates, but true mates I have never heard of that before. What is it?" I asked curious about what he meant.

"Well it is similar to regular mates, but true mates are very rare and can only happen between a true alpha and another werewolf." Doc explained. "It means that you guys are bonded for life. You literally can not live without one another. That means when you go back to California, either she has to go with you or you have to stay here."

"But Doc we are both in High School. It will be kinda hard for either one of us to just pack up and move." I explained know getting frustrated because I can't just leave my sister in California all alone. "I have my sister and Sam has her Dad neither of us can just leave."

"Well you can be away from each other just not for very long, I would say only up to 6 months at most." Doc estimated. "This is very rare so I don't know for sure. But you should get going. If they left without you just follow Sam's scent to her house."

"Okay thanks Doc. I will see you soon." I said and walked out the door noticing that Kyle had in fact left without me so I slipped on the helmet and turned on the bike sniffing around for that beautiful vanilla scent I love when I picked up.
