Awake, My Sleeping Beauty

Hair as soft as a pillow
Elegant as a wavering willow
Blonde like a small buttercup
And smooth as a little duck

Her birth as joyous as any
A crowd to greet her, so many
But evil crept along the castle wall
Down and through the palace hall

Maleficent burst through the tall doors
And cursed the baby to the Kings horror
Aurora would fall asleep when she turned seventeen
Maleficent smiled, her sneer evil and mean

As the last gift, a true loves kiss
Could wake the the young miss
And that love she shall marry
Said the last fairy

Aurora became seventeen soon
And she sang a sweet tune
The birds sang as they came out of their nest
And a prince heard her in the forest

Soon after that
Aurora got in a horrible trance
And pricked her finger on a wheel too
Maleficent's curse became true

The prince slayed the beast
But that worry was the least
For Aurora was still dead
Waiting, she laid in peace on a bed

The prince came at once
And when their lips touched
She awoke with great joy
And the king quickly married her to the boy!!!!

Happily Ever After
