Chapter 19

As you step into the shower Ricky is facing away from you so he doesn't know you're in there with him. As he turns and opens his eyes he wipes water away from his face. He sees you standing there and half smiles. He looks you head to toe while biting his lip. You blush. He walks up to you and holds you close. He sits on the shower floor with you in between his legs, your back facing him. The water running over the both of you. Ricky pushes back your wet hair and kisses you on the neck. You close your eyes and smile. As Ricky places his hands on your knees you notice something that you've never noticed before. There's white lines going all the way up his arms. Scars. You grab his arm and kiss all the way up it and whisper.
"Why'd you do that to yourself?"
He sticks his face close to yours and whispers back.
"People got to me, but now I have you."
You shiver as you feel his breath on your neck. Ricky grabs your hands and flips them so your wrists are facing up. He sees they're clean and says.
"Promise me, no matter how much people get to you, always come to me instead of the blade."
You nod as Ricky hugs you close.
