"Finally" I sigh shutting my locker.
The end of the day was finally here and I was 100% prepared to leave.
I walked out and waited for my mom to arrive.
You see after the little incident, my mom hasn't let me out of her sight.
Except to go to school of course.
She's worried I'll try and pull something like it again and she doesn't want to risk it.
"Lana"
"Oh, Jack, you're here again" I say turning around to face him.
"Yeah, I'm picking up Paige"
"Cool"
He awkwardly nods, looking around.
"Look Lana-"
"No Jack, I need to speak first" I say cutting him off.
"Jack I'm so sorry that I never visited you, or let alone thanked you. You saved my life"
"It's fine Lana"
"Jack no it isn't. I left you in a hospital for over 2 months and never even thanked you. I get it if you like hate me or you're mad at m-"
"Lana. I said it's fine. Can we just move on?" He says stopping me.
I nod and look at the ground, fumbling with my fingers.
"So, when do you think you'll come back to school?" I ask looking back up at him.
"Next week"
"Oh, cool"
"Yeah"
"Well it's good to see you up and running Jack"
He just nods, tapping his foot.
"Lana!" I hear my name being screamed from the other side of the carpark.
I hoped it was my mom, but I was wrong.
There stood an angry Paige, with her arms crossed and steam practically coming out of her ears.
"Uh yeah gotta go Jack" I say running off.
I did not have the time to deal with her shit.
