Skater boy

Chapter 1

The great state of florida was my new home, my parents dragged me out of our home in asheville so my dad could make better money.

I had left my friends and my school just for my parents. It's pathetic I wanted to go back to asheville but now I have to restart the first day of high school all over again but this time in coral glades high. I'm not excited for this.

I woke up this morning nervous as hell. I walked to my bathroom to take a shower. I dried my hair and straightened it. I walked back to my room and picked out a white tank top and black shorts.

I went downstairs and took out some cereal in the pantry. I was still shaking. What if no one liked me? I took a deep breath and went to the garage to grab my dark blue penny board. i slipped on my black vans and headed out the door and skated down to the school.

My heart dropped when I saw the school appear from the distance. I jumped of my penny board and went to go lock it up. I looked at my phone and saw that I was late. Crap I started to hurry with my steps when i bumped into an average height boy with blonde hair and big brown eyes. He looked at me with a smile on his face. Who was this guy? He had a toned body and a skateboard in his hand.

"I'm so sorry" I pleaded.

"Nah no worries" he laughed. Fuck, even his laugh was amazing.

I ran and locked my penny board. I walked into the school and I was immediately lost. I was looking for room 217 so i'm guessing upstairs. I ran up the stairs pacing down the hallways looking at each and every door.

220..219..218.. Aha! 217! I stumbled in and the teacher smiled at me. I slowly walked to a desk and quietly sat down. Please don't introduce me I beg of you! I was fidgeting in my chair. While the teacher stopped her talking and motioned me to come to the front of the class. Great.

I took a deep breath.

"Hi there, uh my name is Maddie stone and I just moved here from asheville" I smiled and looked over to the boy I met outside staring straight at me.

My palms started to get sweaty and I got quiet. The class sat there in silence waiting for me to squeak out a word but I stood there frozen. Until the teacher interrupted. Thank god. I walked back to my seat and felt a rush of relieve hit me.

I looked back at the boy he was still staring at me and I felt really uncomfortable. I just ignored him and focused on my work.

After class I pushed through the crowds to my locker. I tried opening my lock but I couldn't. I groaned and was getting frustrated.

Then I looked over to see the boy come up to me.

"Need any help?" He asked. Ugh his voice!

"No! I'm fine" I blurted out. Trying to still get my lock open and I turned back around to him

"Yes" I pouted.

He leaned his ear up to my mouth and I whispered my combination to him. He showed me how to open my locker and i placed my backpack in it.

"My name is Maddie" I introduced myself to him.

"Lucas" he replied back.

I smiled and he smiled back. Well this was really awkward. I grabbed my books out of my locker and cleared my throat

"Thanks.. for helping me with my locked" I smiled at him.

"It was no problem" he smiled back at me and I felt myself blush up.

I turned around and walked to my class. I rolled my eyes, that could have gone a lot better.

After school I opened my locker as Lucas showed me and I grabbed my light weight backpack and placed my books in them.

I put the straps on my shoulders and went to the front of the school to grab my penny board.

I saw Lucas there standing by a pillar and his face shot up when he saw me. I rolled my eyes when he came up to me.

"How would you like to go to the skate park with me?" He asked and winked at me

I looked up at him confused if he was talking to me.

"Uh sure" I smiled and unlocked my penny board.

We skated down to the skate park it was empty. Good we skated in and he stopped me

"Can we make a deal?" He asked me

"Sure what's the deal" I put my hands on my hips

"If I can to a trick with your penny board I get your number" he smiled at me

"Okay" I smirked

He carefully took my board and started skating around me he sped up and tried grinding on the railing that was in the middle of the skate park.

He missed the rail and slipped off the board and fell onto the concrete ground right on his ass. I started to laugh my ass off as I ran up to him to help.

"Can I try again" he pleaded

"No need to.. here" he smiled as I wrote my number on his hand.

I felt my phone vibrate, it was a text from my mom to come home.

He pouted as I left the park and skated down the rode.

I felt my phone vibrate again it was a text from lucas

L: HEY THERE ;)

M: HEY, COULDN'T STAY AWAY COULD YOU? ;)

L: OF COURSE NOT

He was such a goof. I put my phone away and decided to call him when I got home.

I then slipped and fell to the concrete ground and I groaned as I watched my board glide away from me.

I laughed from frustration and I walked back to my board and carefully skates back home.

I opened the door and checked the time. It was 7:00 and I was tired. I went to go wash my makeup off and I got into my pj's.

Today wasn't too bad actually it was pretty good. I looked down at the time and it was 7:45 I went to go get something to eat.

My mom was sitting at the kitchen table waiting for me to come down.

"So! How was it?" She asked

"Good actually!" I smiled at her

I saw a smile appear on her face which made me to feel warm inside. I loved when my mom was happy.

I ate my snack and checked the time again. It was 8:05 and I was exhausted. I fell onto my bed and drifted off to sleep.
