Chapter 6

~Lucas's POV~

I lay in the hospital bed looking over at Maddie and my mom hugging, a warm smile was plastered on my face. I was so glad that Maddie was okay I stared at her for a while feeling my cheeks blush up I turned away. 

They broke from their hug my mom left the room, Maddie turned to me. 

tears running down her cheeks her eyes were red and puffy yet still beautiful. I gave her a small smile and I looked at my sheets. 

"are you okay?" I asked. 

"Why wouldn't I be? I wasn't hurt" she looked at me curiously.

"I don't know I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I care about you" I felt my cheeks heat up

Maddie was about to speak when my mom came back into the room. 

"I filled out the forms. you can get dressed and we can head home." she smiled

"oh and Maddie your mom can't make it, she had to go out of town for about a month for her work so you'll be staying with us" she looked over at her and gave her an assuring smile. 

"sounds great" Maddie looked at me with a smile on her face 

I smiled back and looked over at her and my mom 

"could I have some privacy please?" I raised an eyebrow.

they both scattered out of the room. I got off my bed and noticed that I had a cast on. how did i not feel that? I guess i broke my leg from the accident. I opened the small closet beside my hospital bed. my clothes were washed and dried and smelled a bit like the hospital. beside my clothes was a pair of crutches.

I slipped on my clothes and put my shoes on. I walked limped out of the room.Maddie and my mom were sitting in the waiting room chatting. 

I came up to them and gave them a big smile. Maddie was giggling and I looked over at her and stuck my tounge out at her. she gave me back the same thing. 

I still wasn't used to these crutches and they were a pain to walk in. I looked over at my mom and gave a begging look.

"Can I have a wheelchair instead?" I gave her the best puppy eyes I could give her

she raised and eyebrow and ignored my plead.

"come on lets go" she gave me a grin.

We were back at my place and Maddie helped me up into my bed. she was about to leave when I held her back.

"wait." I pleaded

"do you need something?" she asked

"back at the hospital when you were gonna say something to me. what were you gonna say?" I kept a serious face and looked into her eyes

she looked away and turned around

"it was nothing" she left the room and closed the door behind her. 

I gave a big sigh and sat upright in my bed. how was i going to sleep like this?

my mom came in with a bowl of soup and handed it over to me. I mouthed a thank you and she nodded her head. When I thought she was going to leave she sat down on the bed beside me.

"so this Maddie girl. She's nice. Very pretty" she looked over at me

"yeah she is" I mumbled taking a spoonful of my soup.

"I'm pretty sure she likes you." she smiled at me

"Maddie? nah! she can't like me. I'm a mess" I Laughed

"whatever you say sweetheart" she got up and kissed my forehead then left the room. 

I finished the rest of my soup and placed the bowl on my nightstand beside me. I sat there thinking.

 'what if Maddie likes me?' 

'how could I find out?

' 'what if she doesn't?' 

'do I like her?' 

and in my thoughts I managed to doze off to sleep.

//Again! another short chapter i'm sorry guys! I just keep running out of ideas with Lucas and what I should do with him. and i'm sorry i've been gone for so long! but i have made a system every Thursday a new chapter will be out! how does that sound? good? okie. anyways I myself had just managed to get a boyfriend myself XD not that any of you care lol. but he kinda reminds me of Lucas XD. so yeah expect a new chapter next Thursday!//
