Chapter 3: The Meet Up
"Even." said Ronaldo Henares.
He likes to be called Ronnie.
"Ronnie." acknowledged Esteban Rocamora.
He likes to be called Even.
Ronnie and Even knew each other way back.
The two handlers kept quiet as they waited for their turn to be seen by Jaime Jacinto.
Fiona stepped into the waiting room and cleared her throat.
"Mr. Henares, Mr. Rocamora. Pasok na po kayo." said Fiona.
"Sabay kami?" asked Ronnie.
"Yes. Sir Jaime is ready to see you both."
They both proceeded to enter Jaime's office at the same time, but couldn't fit through the door.
"After you." said Even.
Ronnie entered followed by Even.
Jaime had his chair turned away from them.
He turned his seat to face them.
"Have a seat, Ronnie..Even." said Jaime.
They both took their seats across from Jaime.
"Nagulat siguro kayo sa biglaang meeting natin today." said Jaime.
"Opo, Sir." said Even.
Ronnie nodded at Even's reply.
Jaime smiled.
"I will cut to the chase, Ronnie, Even. I will need your help." said Jaime.
"Yes, Sir. Anything." said Ronnie.
Jaime stood up and picked up the two photos.
He laid it in front of Ronnie and Even.
They tried to keep their expressions at bay, not wanting to lose their cool in front of each other.
Ronnie was the first to get over the shock.
"Si Je- I mean, si Angeli po to." said Ronnie.
Jaime nodded.
Jaime looked at Even.
Even was still holding Vince's picture.
"Oo, Even. Si Vince nga yan." said Jaime.
Even looked at Jaime and nodded.
"Ang totoo, kelangan ko ang tulong niyong dalawa para sa isang special project."
They both nodded.
"Yes, Sir." said Even.
Jaime then grabbed 2 folders from his desk.
He laid it down and then pushed it towards Ronnie and Even.
Ronnie and Even looked at each other before picking up the folders in front of them.
They both felt their hearts beating fast.
Deep down, they know what it is, but they still want to make sure that it is what they think it is.
They both picked it up and pulled out the papers slowly.
Contracts.
Ronnie gasped.
"Balak niyo po i-sign sila Vince at Angeli sa YNet?" said Even.
It was Ronnie's turn to react.
