I'm running, I don't remember why I'm running, I've been running for so long. Oh yeah... somethings chasing me.

Let me introduce myself I'm Rosette, but people call me Rose. I'm 17 years old and I live with my sister, Casey. My Mother died giving birth to me because of that stupid vaccine, oh yeah they now have a cure for cancer, and it works... up until you turn 25 and turn into a man eating monster, a Kanda. They're these creatures human looking but not quite human. They have arms and legs like a human but a bit longer and their hands aren't normal they have long fingers with claws at the end.
Anyway I have a couple of those chasing me. Shit.
Lucky I have my handy shotgun. Shotguns don't do much damage but it slows them down, hopefully enough for me to get away. Man I hate going through the sewers, but it's the safest way not to get eaten by one of those or get kidnapped by scientists. Yeah scientist are legally aloud to take people once they turn 18 to test on them to see why we turn into Kanda's.
I quickly turn around and shoot each of them, one in the chest and I only just hit the other one on the left shoulder. I slid around the corner and sprint down the long, wet sewer. Almost there, I'm almost home. I quickly turn a corner, then another until I find the ladder out of here.
"Yes!" I whisper triumphantly to myself.
I hear screeching, I think they lost me, ha suck it! Oh no, it's getting louder, double shit. They're coming. I hastily jump and grab the highest bar I can on the ladder, which isn't very high because I'm only 5'2. I start rapidly climbing, my foot slips and I gash my shin on the old rusted metal step.
"Triple shit" I say in a rush
They smell blood.
I hear fast steps, the water splashes with every step they take. I carefully lift the heavy metal grate ignoring the fact that my knee is in an intense pain. I push it to the side and climb out. Just as I started closing the grate just as I saw them turn the corner, I shut it just in time for one of them to smack their head on the grate
I laugh uncontrollably, my long dark brown hair swooshing around in the wind.
" oh my god, that was the best thing ever" I crack up.
I swing around on my heels and start to walk away. I finally stop laughing and open my eyes. Shit shit shit shit, agents. Agents are the big goons that science company's hire to take people away for testing, their trying to figure out what happened and how to fix it, so we don't turn into kanda's. 
I'm so glad I'm only 17 but some places don't care and just take you anyway so I'm not taking any chances. I turn around, zip up my fluffy faux hair jacket, tuck my blue jeans into my black hightop sneakers and put my shotgun inmy backpack, although half of its still sticking out. The streets so empty there's like 2 cars ones black SUV which I'm assuming belongs to the agents and  the other one is a Holden astra. I can't see anyone around other than those guys.  Crap I really hope they don't see me. I turn around and start walking, I try to make myself look as small as i can. Screw it. I break into a sprint and run away. I don't think they're following me, thank god. I turn left and go straight for about 3 blocks, I've never seen the streets this empty before. Everyone's too scared to go out, after generation X started becoming "of age". I rarely see lots of people out at once.
I take the next right, and hear screeching, shit x100. I run up to a corner and prepare myself for anything. I take a peek to see a Kanda hunching over a body like a monkey. How am I supposed to get to my apartment. The only way to kill one is to burn it first and then shoot it. Once you burn it's "armour" off it becomes just as easy to kill as a human is. I sit down and try to think of a plan, I grab a glass beer bottle and throw it as far as I can, it lands about 20 metres away on the other side of the corpse. The Kanda goes to check it out. Yes I quietly run to the brick stairs down to my apartment. I quietly walk down them and pull my keys out of my pocket. I shove the key into the lock, it makes a small graunchy sound. But the Kanda doesn't hear it. I turn the key until I hear the click, unfortunately I'm not the only one that heard it. The monster growled and turned around to see me frantically trying to open the door, it screeches and charges at me. Why won't this fricken door open, stupid things stuck. I take a step back and run at the door shoulder first. It flew open and I shit it behind me. My sister runs into the room and wraps her arms around me, I hug her for about 2 seconds before the stupid devil monkey screams at the door.
"What the hell was that?" Ella asked
"A Kanda" I reply "where's the lighter?"
" I think it's in the second to bottom draw, why?" Ella said furrowing her eyebrows.
" just grab your body spray, and fast." I tell her. She shrugs and runs away.
She comes back seconds later with her wynx body spray.
"Here" she said, still sounding confused. 
The banging on the door is getting harder. I look out the window and see that it's right at the door.
"Stand behind the table!" I demanded Ella.
She did as I told her and walked over to the table.
"On the count of three I'm going to open the door, OK?" I say
"What?! Are you crazy, Rose don't!" Ella yells
"1"
"ROSE  STOP!"
"2"
"PLEASE NO!"
"3"
I open the door the Kanda wasn't ready and fell on the ground in front of me. I click open the lighter and the flame pops up, I smile, then I press down on Ella's body spray. A blast of fire comes out. The screams coming from the burning Kanda are unbearable, but I stand strong. I drop the lighter and spray and in one swift movement I grab my shot gun and shoot the Kanda in the head. Blood and brains splatter everywhere.
