We had just started the tour and already I wasn't paying attention. This wasn't because of my chronic ADD, it was because everything was so fascinating. I saw Pegusi zoom through the air, I saw other half-bloods joking and fighting, everything was amazing! We were making our way through the cabins when I felt a weird attraction to a cabin seventh in line. "Hey, Leo, who's cabin is that?" "Apollo." He said. I nodded. Apollo was one of my favorite gods. He watched over music, poetry, books, the sun, who wouldn't like him. I also felt connected to the Athena cabin. Jesse and Angel reacted the same way for their respected cabins. Jesse for Hephaestus and a little Aphrodite. Angel for Athena and a little bit Hermes. The next stop was the forges. Jesse spent twenty minutes inside and came out with a robotic dog named Fido. After that was the arena. I headed over to the archery ring section. Leo was running behind me. " Mary, I wouldn't shoot anything until train..." I had already picked up a cedar bow and shot a blue arrow with a robins feather directly at the target. I got a bulls-eye! "Nice job!" A boy walked towards me from the outer rim of the arena. He looked like a suffer dude but had a huge smile. Oh my gods its Will Solace! He looked between me and my bulls-eye. "Have you been claimed yet?" Will asked. "No." "How about this, we have a contest. Whoever gets more bulls-eyes quicker wins." "What are the prizes and penalties?" He had me hooked. Sure that one shot was good, but could I defeat a son of Apollo at his own game? "Well, if you win you get claimed, if I win you make a statue in my honor, and the loser does dishes." Before this everyone was watching with slack jaw and bug eyes but when he said dishes, everyone's eyes bulged out of their head. I knew a thing or two about camp dishes. For one, they were done under the watchful eye of guard harpies. Second, instead of water they used lava. But I'm an idiot. "Deal."
I decided that the bow and arrows I already picked out would be my weapons and I picked a teal quiver with pink detailing. Me and Will lined up, I smirked at him and on Nico's go we started shooting. When I finished I looked at Will with his 3 arrows left. "Done yet?" I asked sarcastically. "Your done?!" He looked over at my target I got all bulls-eyes. Even he missed a few. "Not dishes." He said very, very sadly. Suddenly there was something glowing over my head. Leo, Nico, Mitchell, Will, and everyone else bowed. "Hail Mary, daughter of Apollo." Nico squinted at my sign. "Legacy of Athena." The most ironic thing was I was claimed through a not so wise decision.
A/N: Howdy! So next chapter I'm thinking of going more into Jesse and Angel. I know I keep saying I won"t upload till the weekend but that's just because my concept of time sucks. Thanks for reading, see ya!
