The air I breathe is poison,
I'm dying
The water I drink is poison,
I'm dying
The food I eat is poison,
I'm dying.
Chemicals flow into the once clear river,
Making it a river of toxins,
The air now a host of poisonous gasses,
A smog, waiting to choke me,
My food now grown with poison,
Killing me from the inside,
Stealing from me, my life.
What I need to stay alive,
Is now the reason for me to die,
And as the days pass by,
It gets worse,
Man is at the helm,
Of his own destruction,
Which makes me think,
Are we as clever as we think we are?
