Author's point of view (pov)
The clan that you came from faced a similar fate to that of the uchiha after the massacre. Your clan was filled with powerful people, but a majority of those people did not learn to use their power and we're not able to unlock their eyes.
The picture shows what the eyes look like when they are opened. (without being bloodshot...)
Other than their eyes they are able to control all the elements WITHOUT HAND SIGNS!! They are able to just command the spirit to do their bidding. (kind of like Avatar, no weird dance moves tho)
They also have extremely resilient bodies that allows them to house a tailed beast with no problems. :D
But
All of these things can not come with out a downside.
They feel physical pain way more painfully than what they were supposed to be. Like if you were to scrape your knee, they would feel the pain of a broken leg.
Their eyes are naturally blood-red so they have to always live like monsters that do not belong because people believe that they are demons sent from hell.
