"Trust me sweetheart, there's always hell in paradise." He told me, his vice like grip digging into my arm. He then pecked me on the cheek and vanished into thin air, leaving behind a cold breeze.

Panting, I woke - my sweat drenched sheets twisted around my body. I didn't even bother to untangle myself as I knew that as soon as I fell back into the clutches of sleep, I'd have the same dream. Always the same one. It didn't feel like a dream - I could swear it was reality.

My nan told me it was a warning. That I should heed HIS words. That no matter what, I should always be prepared for whatever life throws at me and dreams were only there to help and guide me. That even though my life was great now, it could all come plummeting down in an instant.

And the sad thing was, I thought it was all part of the hocus pocus rubbish she had been filling my head with all my life. I didn't believe that somehow I would meet him, or that his words were true or even that my perfect life could turn out to be not so perfect.

I was stupid and nïeve then. But now, not so much. My name is Olivia Odassia and this is the story of how I found out that there really is always hell in paradise.
