Payton's POV
"Come on, Kayla!" I whined.
"Okay, okay." she said as she finished her ice cream and threw it away.
We exited the gates and started to walk to our car. I got in the driver's seat and started the engine. "Wait for me!" Kayla shouted. I looked out the window to see her struggling to run with those 6 inch ankle twisters.
"Maybe you shouldn't wear high heels to the FAIR." I said with a smirk, once she finally got in the passenger's seat.
"Shut up and drive." she said, annoyed. I laughed and began to drive us home.
When we arrived at our flat, it was already almost dark out. Kayla and I started to make some pasta for dinner. I was stirring the sauce when I got a text message. "I can't get to the phone right now, Kayla. Can you help me?" I asked her motioning over to my phone that was laying on the counter.
"Mhm." she mumbled and picked up my phone. I turned around and continued to stir the food. "Holy shit!" she yelled. (Very Loudly) I turned around and looked at Kayla in panic.
"What? What is it?" I asked frantically.
"You got a text message from HARRY STYLES!!!" she squealed, jumping up and down. My eyes widened. I grabbed my phone from Kayla's hand and looked at the screen in disbelief.

I smiled and felt heat rise to my cheeks. I stared at the text for a while. He probably says that to every girl, Payton. I thought. It meant nothing to him, but it was everything to me.
I didn't know what to say. I looked up to see Kayla biting her nails and staring at me eagerly. "What did he say?"
"Uh, Hello Beautiful?" I said more as a question.
"OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!" she squealed.
"It's not a big deal, Kayla. He probably says that to every girl he sees." I said looking down.
"How did he even get your number Payton?" she asked confusion clear in her expression.
"Uh, umm, well, h-he sat next to me on the Farris Wheel." I said still looking down.
"Oh. My. God. Did he like ask you if he could sit beside you? Oh or did he like not want you to sit alone? Ooh, ooh, did he like you know-"
"He just got escorted to the same seat as me Kayla!" I laughed, interrupting her.
"Oh. It's still amazing." she said clapping her hands together in excitement.
"He also asked me for my number..." I said blushing. Her face was full of happiness for me.
"Your soooo lucky, Payton!" she said hugging me. "He probably likes you." she said bopping my nose. I felt my cheeks get hotter.
"Y-You really think so?" I said looking up at her. She nodded and smiled.
"Why didn't you tell me any of this before?" she asked. "What else haven't you told me?"
"Umm, I also bumped into Niall today. He's really nice and he also ask-"
"Oh my freaking god!!! You met Niall!?!" she asked jumping up and down.
"Yeah. And he also asked me for my number."
"Did you give it to him?" she asked, getting serious.
"Yep." I said while nodding.
"Good." she said relieved. I smiled and shook my head. "Payton. Payton. Payton. Giving two famous guys your numbers in one day? What am I going to do with you?" she said with a giggle. I smiled.
"How should I reply?" I asked, my eyes widening. She thought for a moment.
"Hmm....Oh! I know! You should say....Hello." she said with a laugh. I glared at her.
"Your so intelligent." I said, shaking my head. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and smiled.
"I try. I try." We looked at each other before cracking up.
"I'm serious! What should I say?"
"Payton, just say hey." she said rolling her eyes and smiling.
"Fine." I said as I typed the word into the keypad on my phone.
